INTRODUCTIONEvidence based practice is an essential concept that refer to purposeful use of the best andlatest evidence in making the most effective and important decisions about patient and healthcare. It can be a problem solving approach to the delivery of health care that integrates the bestevidence from studies, research and patient care information with clinician expertise and patientpreferences and values. EBP is the integration of clinical expertise, patient value and the bestresearch evidence in to the decision making process fro health care. Evidence based practice isimportant for applying clinical care which is based on cultural tradition. The aims and objectivesof EBP is provide the high quality and cot effective health services to the clients so that they canfeel satisfaction. It is helpful to keep practices current, relevant and maximizing confidence indecision making. The key principle of EBP is to use the best and most recent evidence formaking good healthcare decisions which are helpful for healthcare industry. This report will bediscussed about the role of research for evidence based practice in health and social care. Furtherwill be defined about the key literature which will be helpful for making improvement in carepractice. A project proposal and value of the literature review process in influencing positivechange in health, care or support service provision will also be explained. TASK 1Importance of evidence based practice in Health and social CareIn Health and Social care sector, EBP is important because the main objective of it tooffer the most effective care that is available with the motive of improving patient outcomes. Theimportance of evidence based practice is as following: To provide effective care- EBP is important to offer essential and necessary care to thepatients. For example, in health care sector, a person is suffering from Tuberculosis then theperson required some extra and effective care like, different type of healthy food, hygienicclothes and proper need of cleaning extra. In effective care, healthcare providers have aresponsibility to safeguard all patients from harm and minimize risk. Reduce cost of patient care- EBP is important to minimize the fund of sick people byplanning ahead for urgent and emergency care. For example, health and social care sector, thereare various organisation which are also work for social care and they are also offer medicinesand health care products at affordable and minimum rate. purchase them who are suffering from different disease. This will help in reducing cost of patientcare.
