INTRODUCTION
Further academic skills are known as the varied skills that are developed or inculcated in
students from being a part of different functions or sessions that are being done in a university.
These skills lead to the growth and development of students by making them more effective and
efficient for their future career (Anderson, Weimer and Fuhs, 2020). The following report is being
divided into two different sections, in which the first section is covering the description that is
related or relevant to academic integrity as well as its importance that is there in higher education
along with the academic misconduct and implications. Second section on the other hand covers
and describes all the difficulties that are being faced by an individual during learning skills.
Section 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is known as teaching, learning and research fundamentals that are
being performed by universities faculties. This includes all the varied communities of
universities that is students, researchers and teachers that are to be followed the acts of honesty,
trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility and duties in effective and efficient manner. It is
necessary that students studying higher education should hold the academic integrity along with
their studies (Culver, Braxton and Pascarella, 2019). Working in effective manner is resulted with the
proper use of information and that too in appropriate manner with accordance to privacy and
copyright law. It is important for the students to know and acknowledge from where all the
information is used and all during completion of their projects.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is necessary as it develops and makes effective and honest, all the
students and people that are relevant to higher education and their performance in effective
manner. It lets teachers and professors to teach important skills in higher education, these skills

include writing, critical thinking skills and using sources with the contents in efficient way
(Ericsson and Oliver, 2019). Its importance is explained as:
It helps in protection of students from the varied misconduction of academics that is
cheating, plagiarism and many other dishonesties that are there present in academics for
making their own creditability along with assisting them in achieving success in career.
Observation is done by the university related to code of academic honesty for maximising
the learning opportunities for students for getting and achieving success in good method.
Learning of various career skills is done by students that are great and have their
importance in their future success. These skills and knowledge help in future
performance of students and also in achieving their goals in effective manner.
Academic integrity has its importance as it creates trust and feeling of belongings in peers
and professors and resulting in studying and learning easy for them.
Satisfaction is also provided to the university’s top management for knowing various
ethical principles and policies and their following by students and all in effective manner.
It also helps in taking and possessing full credit of all work that is being done by the
students.
Self-reliance habits are being formed in students for learning and conducting of
assignments and all their projects in effective methods by creating these habits that will
result in their success in future.
It avoids various serious outcomes and results of academic dishonesty that are present in
university by making students to conduct their working operations with complete honesty
and fairness.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is known as that kind of cheating that is done in the session of
academics, when particular students take credit during their assignments and projects (Fair and
Kondo, 2020). There are many types and kinds of academic misconduct that are being faced by the
universities during the effective learning of their students. Some of the various academic
misconducts and their implications in the student’s life in universities are discussed below:
