This presentation introduces Getaways Travels, a comprehensive online flight booking system designed to simplify travel arrangements. Introduction
This presentation developed a new system for airline ticket booking
named as Getaways Travels that deals with flight booking making
peoples migration easier by providing better facilities in minimal time.
It even provide flight search facilities making it user-friendly to search
flights. In addition to that hotel and cab booking facilities are provided
along with food order facilities. The presentation below explains the
entire system and its working.

Project Objective
• The project objective is to develop and design a software that
will automate majorly all operations of airline system.
• The project provide following functionality to customers:
– Book Flights
– Check flight schedules
– Hotel booking
– Cab and Food booking
– User-Friendly system

Getaways System Functionalities
• Check Flight Schedules: It allows user to check the availability of flights
along with details of its schedules.
• Book Flights: It allows user to book the desired flight.
• Hotel Booking: It allows user to book hotel for their stay.
• Cab Booking: It enables user to book their ride from the airport.
• Food Booking: It enables user to book food of choice.
• User-Friendly system: It creates a system that is user-friendly.
• Flight status: It allows user to check the status of the flight, regarding its
departure and arrival.

Advantages of System Functionalities
• Work 24/7: This system works 24/7 allowing customers to book flights anytime.
• Hassle-Free Booking: Customer doesn't requires to stand in long queues.
• Convenience: Allow customers to book their flights online just by sitting at home.
• Analyses Prices: It allow users to compare different prices of all provided flights
and book more feasible one.
• Change and cancelations: It allow user to change or cancel their bookings.
• Customer Reviews: It also provides user with several feedback on facilities and
customer reviews for better judgement.
• Apply Discounts: It applies several discounts on flight bookings .

• We have used SDLC AGILE MODEL in our system which is an iterative
process model that focuses on adaptability and satisfaction of
customers by fast delivery of different software product that are
working. Agile model break iterations into working areas that include:

Hardware and Software Interfaces
• Hardware Interface
– Compatibility of software with machines of Microsoft
Windows.
– The system must be compatible with different output
devices like mouse, keyboard for software interaction.
• Software Interface
– Front-end is designed using HTML.
– User- friendly interface.
– Various screen are designed.

Back-End Description
• The back-end of Getaways Travels is designed using MS
Access which includes:
– Reservation of passengers: It books e-tickets of flights and reserves
the seat of passenger.
– Flight status: It provides the information regarding the flight number,
status, arrival and departure date and flight schedules.
– Cancellation relations: It includes cancellation of reservations made
and refund of amount paid.
– Payment relations: It includes the total fare calculated on the
bookings made.
– Account based information: It includes information related to users
accounts like usernames, passwords and contact number.
– Web check-ins: Providing the e-ticket number boarding pass is issued.

Data Flow Diagram
• DFD (Data Flow Diagram) is a representation made graphically to
represent the flow of a particular data through a system of information.

Risk Assessment
• Assessment of risk helps entire team of software in
understanding as well as managing uncertainties. There is a
need to identify such problem and must be accessed.

Conclusion
A new system is defined above as Getaways Travels used for booking online
tickets or flight bookings. This presentation explains the objective of the
project, its functionalities along with its advantages. It provides the
description of process model and project scheduling and even provides
several mock-ups of designed application. It explains several diagrams like
DFD, ERD, Use Case and flow chart that describes various relations and the
work flow. Lastly the risk assessment of the project is done.
