INTRODUCTION
Global events includes having limited duration of attaining global reach. It requires
public investment and have an impact on the population. Global events are helpful in conducting
events at such enormous level that will help in gaining the benefits that are related within
economic and social contexts (McCloskey, and et.al., 2020). Hosting global events helps in
producing many benefits for the country, it includes increasing the economy of the place, having
along- term investment, it even increases the opportunity of having jobs while enthusiasm. ExCel
London comes under the category of being a global event as it is an international convention
situated within Docks, East London. This exhibition includes various public as well as private
events while having many hotels and restaurants under it. This report deals with the areas related
to global events along with the key elements that will affect the role of various events conducted
within society.

The concept of event management is related to a diverse areas such as live events based
on global and local level. Diversity is an important part in the event industry and helps in
developing a creative environment that will lead to flourish the business. Involvement of events
includes the involvement of competition and representing various nations. Global events can be
classified using various aspects including:
Size of an event: Global events can be classified based on its size and scale. Mega and
hall mark events are major form of events that are based on their size. Hall mark events helps in
building a strong sense of pride. It includes, major fairs, expositions and even sporting events
present at the international level and is conducted on regular basis (Duane, Castellnou, and
Brotons, 2021). The main purpose of hallmark events is to provide its community to gain the
opportunity in securing high prominence within the market place. Examples of hall mark events
are Edinburgh festival, carnivals and so on. These events expresses the spirit of town or the
region thus, helping it gain widespread recognition as well as awareness. Hall mark events are
made to explore the essence present at the place as well as related to its citizens. This will
generate good amount of tourist revenue and will build a strong sense of local pride while
gaining international recognition.

Major events includes the idea of attracting significant number of visitors while having
high amount of media coverage. Major events produces exceeding amount of economic benefits
(Ferretti, Bancroft, and Repetski, 2020). The examples of major events includes commonwealth
games and Opera. Major events must include competition between different teams and will have
spectator attendance and media coverage. In addition to this, it holds an international
significance related with the sport and featuring based on the international calendar.
Form and content of event: The base of the events conducted is yet another reason
related with the process of classifying the events. Religious and cultural events can be small
gathering or can be mega events. The aim of such events is to promote awareness about the
religious values and beliefs of a particular religion and draws attention towards the same. World
youth day is a type of religious event that takes place on annual basis within different parts of the
world. This event is large and includes a lot of people that will attend the final mass (Hao, and
Singh, 2020). Some of the events are common practices and in some cases it requires
participation of some specific people.
Sport events includes physical activities that is also a source of providing entertainment
within various areas of the country. These activities are represented on the basis of physical
athleticism and includes major completions such as Olympic games, world cup and even sporting
meetings. Sporting events includes the Council of Europe that precludes activities that does not
require any physical element related to the classification of sports. Activities including good
amount of competition but are non- physical also comes under the category of being mind sports.
Sports is one of the major source of entertainment and draws large crowds to the sport event
venues. There is a chance to reach out to large number of audience via sports broadcasting.
These events can take various forms and sizes for example Olympics includes hosting many
different types of sports with thousands of visitors. It includes world- wide coverage and is
hosted for a quite good amount of time period (Chatzopoulos, and et.al., 2020). Moreover, such
events require different teams in presence such as medics team to handle injuries from sports
along with a management team to mange such large crowds. These events are usually held in
large spaces with an access to large screens so the fans and audience can watch the sports
properly.
Local and community events is where the community will host some festivals that is
