degradation. Efficient practices are used by ECB and event management teams by using
environment friendly products at their venues or stadiums. Practices and strategies such as

organisations and event management bodies to efficiently implement the strategic security
tools and approaches to handle the security arrangements at event venues. Implementing
multiple security management strategies enables providing safer environment for
participants as well as spectators. For World Cup 2019, state organising committee and
England cricket board hired multiple security agencies enabling placement of security
personnels at multiple venues. Along with this, digital monitoring agencies with advanced
security tools are hired to install security measures all around the stadiums and venues in
order to create heavy security surveillance for the players and spectating crowd.

order to delegate roles and responsibilities to each team and event management body to
efficiently perform their duties resulting in efficient organisation of cricket tournament.
Responsibilities are segregated on the basis of professional experience and relevant working
background. For Instance – a team of ground staff was hired in order to maintain ground and
pitches at the venues. For electricity management ECB hired professionals working in
power department of the country. Apart, Media and coverage teams were professionally
appointed for live global telecast of the event on respective schedules. Furthermore, hotels
and resort accommodations for teams of participating countries were booked in advance for
comfortable stays during the world cup event (Børve and Thøring, 2022).
Waste management – World cup being a global event and in continuation for longer
duration created an urge for the organising committees and bodies to efficiently manage the
wastes at event venues in order to create sustainable development. Waste management

Critically evaluate the specific management strategies used within the events industry to deliver
responsible events and how these have recently developed; show these across a range of
actual global events
To deliver responsible events, organising committees and bodies uses multiple strategies and
approaches in order to successfully coordinate the events. Organising committees and teams draw
roadmaps in advance mentioning several factors that needs to be implemented in order to
commence the event efficiently. Objectives and goals are set in advance in relation to the event.
Budget planning and financial arrangements to meet required monetary capital for events are
discussed with sponsors in order to generate sufficient funds. Individuals and teams involved in
arranging event plans the fixtures, venues and resources required for proper conduction of event. All
such approaches and practices contributed by organising bodies are considered as Event
organisation management. Other management strategy like resource management is used in
organising an event as every event uses multiple resources in the form of equipments, finance,
media, refreshments etc. conduct event activities. Efficient management of such resources are
handles by the designated responsible teams. Also, waste management is considered as significant
strategy to efficiently manage the wastes at venues to create sustainable development practice.
Minimal and optimum use of water resources at venue to prevent water wastage, recyclable
products in offering refreshments to spectators contributes in environmental friendly approaches
used by management. At ICC World cup 2019, water harvesting systems were installed to collect

tickets were made available to save paper and protect climate. On the other hand, Use of plastic
material was banned in and out of the venues and stadiums (Bustard and Kitchin, 2021).
Critically assess the impact that global events have on different levels of the environment; evaluate
the strategies used by the industry to support responsible event development now and into the
future
Conducting global events causes multiple impacts on environment in the form of hazardous
impact like excessive carbon emission for air travel and waste as international attendees come to
event to witness the event personally. According to reports, travellers to single location on account
of global event contributes to 70% to 90% increase in total carbon emission for respective country.
Also, wastes in the form of leftover edible items, excessive use of promotional pamphlets and
brochures contributes in higher carbon emissions, degrading the environment. With current and
future prospects several strategies like use of carbon calculator can turn out to be beneficial to
evaluate the level of carbon emission during event and respective measures can be implemented to
reduce the same. Apart, in terms of offering refreshments to the event attendees and spectators,
responsible events and how these have recently developed; show these across a range of

replacing dairy based and meat products from catering menu can aid in reducing emit ion of green
house gases as leftover dairy and meat based food contributes in higher Co2 emissions in the
environment of the host country (Cavagnaro and et, al., 2021).
CONCLUSION
It can be determined from the above report that global event industry is rapidly growing and
execution of proper management strategies in conducting global event plays a significant role. This
report reflect the events that are conducted worldwide briefly describing the structure, type and the
outcomes of conducting such events. For instance, In the report -ICC tournament of 2019 taken into
consideration reflects that each tournament impact the host country in both positive and negative
approaches. On one hand such event promote diversity, culture and ethics of the host nation on the
other hand it also impact the environment of the country in several ways. Though, measures
mentioned in the report could turn out to be efficient once applied in current and future prospect in
conducting and organising events.
