INTRODUCTION
Global events are the happening of a activity at a particular time period and a specific
location at international level. There can be different types of global events such as cultural
events, music festivals, Olympic festival. Global events help in growth & development of a
country by enhancing the trade and tourism (Granadillo, El-Barbori and Debar, 2016). Olympic
game is world famous events that takes place once in four years and consist of different games.
Present report consist of events and role of such events in society. There are different factors that
posses influence on the growth of industry. Further there are some management strategies that
are analysed to understand the development of a event. Global events are also affected by macro
environment factors and posses impact on decision making. There is application of SWOT
analysis to understand the factors affecting event planning.

It is very important to understand the event industry to enhance their level of diversity by
emphasizing on global events. Diversity in global event will help in attracting people that leads
to exchange of trade relations.
Analysis of figures of event contribution towards economy:
There are many events that are contributing towards development of UK economy.
According to data event industry of UK has a worth of 42.3 billion pounds. There are 25000
organisations that are part of this event sector and are operating different events across globe. It
is leading towards higher growth of UK economy and enhancement of GDP. Visitors are
spending in such events a amount worth 7.7 billion. Contribution towards sports events is 2.3
billion pounds. Such contribution is helping in enhancement of industry growth. There is
enhancement of investment by a trade of 9.9 billion pounds for UK if Olympics are hosted in
London.

there are events that are centred around a specific goals. These events are designed to target the
