Introduction:
Global warming which is also denoted to as climate change, it is an observed century-scale
upsurge in the typical temperature of the Earth’s climate system and the negative causes related
to it. In the assignment, a discussion will be done on the effects of global warming on Earth and
the ways in which global warming is leading to the destruction of Temperature. The ways in
which the global warming can affect will also be discussed and learning will be provided on the
effectual ways to solve the global warming problem. One of the most prominent challenges in
front of the world is the human-induced climate change.
The planet is continuously warming up and leading to the path of destruction. The changes in
climate and its influences can vary from region to region but they will be overly affecting the
Globe. There are strain pressures of population and quick growth of the economy which are
obligatory on the environment. As per the present indexes, India has been ranked among the
worst five countries in terms of environmental performance. India ranked 177 among the 180
countries which slipped its position.
The issue of global warming has been plunged into the realisation of public ever since the
scientists commented that "warming of the climate system is unequivocal" and the most of the
viewed upsurge in the global environment has been since the mid-20th century which is probably
due to the increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations. The chief purpose of this
report is to generate knowledge about the global warming and its assertive impacts. The
individuals who have been experiencing the upsurge of scorching temperatures in India from the
past few years will find it quite hard to leave in such sizzling environment. The assignment will
be dealing with all the essential factors that are needed to be taken into consideration before
taking any steps related to global warming.
Thesis statement:
It can be believed that the increased severity of heat waves is blamed due to the global weather
that is altering because of the changes in climate due to the emissions of humans in greenhouse
gases which incorporate of Carbon Dioxide, Methane and the Nitrous oxide, the global warming
is on disquieting rise and the steps taken are not enough to stop it. The climate of India has been

warming up at a very rapid rate which makes it very difficult for the individuals to sustain in
such environment. The main causes that lead to such changes in the environment and the
solution for eradicating the pollution out of India are provided in the tasks below
There are certain negative impacts of global warming which may result in adverse impacts on the
surroundings. The effects can be adverse if necessary steps are not taken timely. In the
assignment, the report will be provided in the context of environmental changes in India. It has
somewhat become a habit to report about the natural calamities that are caused due to the
manmade disaster of global warming. The scope of this report is to generate awareness regarding
climate change and the influences and contributions of India into it. The possible shared
responses to global warming integrate of the extenuation of emission reduction, building systems
buoyant to its influences, probable future engineering of climate and alteration to its influences.

Main Body:
In the entire world, India has the worst pollution and this issue has attracted special attention of
the major organisations dealing with control of pollution. The quick speed development of the
urban areas has also resulted in the rapid increase of vehicles, and in few cities, the number of
vehicles has doubled in past few decades (Benton, et. al, 2014). Some of the key views are
focused in the report that incorporates of pollution-related concerns in India. Air pollution is one
of the major causes leading to the increasing temperature of climate; the increasing air pollution
develops a number of health-related issues like asthma and tuberculosis (The Guardian, 2015).
The direct causes of the pollution related to air are electricity, fuels and transportation.
The increasing industrial activities result in higher pollution of air and India has been ranked as a
country with most number of industries (Revesz, et. al, 2014). The domestic pollution such as
the pollution caused by the fuelwood, cooking and the other biomass fuels also contribute to the
increasing pollution (Cotterman, 2015). Delhi is the capital of India and also one of the most
polluted cities of India, the chief reasons for the pollution in Delhi are the pollutions caused due
to the menace of traffic which contributes to the pollution of air and smog.
The index of air quality has been reaching the severe levels and the emissions of vehicles have
been reaching to the serious levels. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the
National Environmental Engineering Research (NEERI) have also professed emission as the
major contributors to pollution(Bond, et. al, 2015). At the time of winter seasons, the pollutants
and the dust particles in the air are unable to move and become stable due to the stagnant winds.
In India,there are very fewer investments in the public infrastructure which again causes a rise in
pollution (Cole, 2014). The chief issues caused related to pollution can be depletion of the ozone
layer to the rapid increment in temperature.
Pollution can be in various shapes and forms the three main forms of pollution can be of air,
water and land. All of the factors leading to pollution can be adversely negative for the
environment and can have various negative causes(Footitt, et. al, 2018). The exhausts from the
private jets that fly over the skies of India to the smaller vehicles that glide by the roads lead to
the harmful emissions of gasses that can cause negative impacts to the environment (Nino,

2014). The continuous burning of the diesel, petrol and kerosene can result in hazardous
situations for the individuals. Millions of smoke particles in the form of air molecules which are
further mixed with the carbon monoxide and nitrogen which are impelled into the air each and
every second.
India has many strict laws prohibiting the dangers that are caused due to the ignorance of
individuals. The hazardous chemicals which can also lead to severe deaths are also pumped into
the air in bulk volume(Balakrishnan, et. al, 2014).Biomass is an organic material which is burnt
very commonly, the burnings uplift the level of pollutants in the air and generate a very unsafe
environment (Loa, 2016). When it comes to water pollution the largest cause of water pollution
is the sewage.
Tons of raw sewage is dumped into the rivers of India every day. This has led to a tag of having
the most number of polluted rivers in the World to India. Without any notice, the millions of
gallons of water are mixed into these rivers (Garg, et. al, 2017). The Ganges is considered as the
holiest river in India but it is largely polluted due to the criminations happening over there
(Lindsey, 2016). The government has been implementing many policies which are not successful
due to the beliefs of people (Alfieri, et. al, 2015). The central and the state governments are
taking many majors to resolve the issues and the government agencies are often pulled by the
National Green Tribunal for not finding up effective policies to stop the raising pollution in India
which is leading to global warming.
Some of the chief steps taken by the government are road traffic rationing, enhancing green
cover along roadsides, vacuum cleaning of roads, cleaning of rivers, strict instructions to the
construction companies regarding the pollution and many other similar steps. As per the rules
and regulations are concerned for pollution Indian government is proactive (Khilnani and Tiwari,
2018). The standards approved by the government are also of international level and there is no
dearth of schemes and plans that are announced to confrontation the present issue of pollution
(Gunderson and Stillman, 2015). In the current industries, the laws for pollution have become
very much crucial for the industries. The industries that have been working under the tolerable
limit get the profits and the one which disobeys the rules have to pay heavy penalties (McGlade
andEkins, 2015). The chief rules relating to the pollution are The Air (Prevention and control of

pollution) Act-1981, The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act- 1974 and The
Environment (Protection) Act- 1986.
The ministry and of environment and forests is the nodal agency in the management framework
of the central government for planning, co-coordinating and promoting the awareness regarding
pollution of the environment and the negative impacts of it (Cook, et. al, 2013). The main
reasons for India’s failure to curb the issue of pollution are the density of population,
urbanization, imposing of immense pressure on the public transport and the PIL is the major tool
in the hands of individuals to claim discussion of the environment but this tool lacks
implementation (Chakraborty, 2017). The developing countries like India are certainly
disinclined to capitalize legally, financially and the politicians in the trials that can precaution the
surroundings as they cause a halt in the economic progress.
The developed countries have been utilizing the capital-intensive technologies to diminish the
pollution and discharges of GHGs. The costs are qualified to the pollution-related diseases that
will enhance as the researchers to discover more relatives between the pollution and disease
(Karl, et. al, 2015). The air quality in Delhi, as well as other major countries in the surroundings,
is under adverse stress which also results in the factors which are linked with urbanization
(Kankaria, et. al, 2014). Each and every measure that has been taken to curb the release of the
pollutants is vital as the weather pattern has been changing continuously and resulting in
antagonistic impacts of the global warming.

Conclusion:
By conducting the above research it can be concluded that the pollution problems are on the
continuous rise, the pollution is an alarming stage. The adverse effects of pollution may lead to
various healths related issues that can cause severe health risks. In key finding of this report is
that continuous depletion of ozone layer is leading to direct contact with UV rays which is
instigating skin diseases. The government of India must come up with the rules and pollutions
that are assisting in clearance of the agricultural wastes. The air pollutions and the changes can
be closely linked to common solutions. In the higher income countries, the consumption of fossil
fuels is increasing. In the assignment, the causes of pollution and global warming are explained
in the context of India.
The major concerns of air pollution have also been explained, the chief steps that India has taken
to solve the pollution problems are given. The policies and acts that are developed and
implemented by the central and state government of India have also been shown in the
assignment. The polluting emissions can only be curbed if the individuals in India take
qualitative measures to solve these issues. In India the government has started certain policies
like Swatch Bharat Abhiyan which are for eradicating the pollutions in the country; this pollution
was developed by the Prime Minister of India watching the serious issues of pollution.
The results of pollution can be frightening and timely steps should be taken so that the negative
effects can be tackled. As per the tax and dividend policy of India the revenue which is generated
and equally distributed by the citizens is a result of the poor income and more than the
remunerated for the losses as the rich individuals pay higher carbon tax than the poor
individuals. The carbon tax policies not only verges releases but it also delivers on delivering
higher employment as the elasticity of employment is greener forms of energy is greater than the
other which is done in fossil fuel based energy.
The suggestions for creating greener environment are also provided in the task such as utilising
the greener vehicles, investing the petrol engines and diesel engines development programs,
capitalizing R&D for the effectual batteries as storage is one of the chief problems. As per the
assignment diminishing the pollution represents a strong opportunity to save the lives and

develop economies. Taxing carbon emission can also assist in curbing the pollution. If India
accelerates for the cleaner sources of energy then it will diminish the air pollution and enhance
the air, human and health of the planet. India is a developing country and it is vital to solving the
solutions related to pollution. Global warming is aconcern that is leading to negative impacts on
the environment and raising the temperature and it needs proper precautions to be taken.
