Introduction
The purpose of this assessment is to focus on how globalization is an emerging force
in the today’s business. Globalization refers to the process of integration as well as
interaction among the individuals, enterprise and governments of varied countries. Coca-
Cola Company is one of the good examples of globalization (Banutu-Gomez, 2012). The
enterprise has gained momentum as well as growth, capitalizes on expanding beverage sector
and has been ranked as biggest beverage enterprise in the globe. This assessment focuses on
five globalization challenge trends and solution trends in today’s business. One challenge and
solution trend that is most applicable to this company is also highlighted in this study.
Globalization and the Coca- Cola Company
Coca- Cola enterprise began to globalize in the early 1900. The company utilized
various stages of entry modes based on markets. Coca- Cola initially built bottling plants,
which in turn caused increase in demand for Coca- Cola brand (Bond & Byrne, 2014). They
have also established plants and foreign relationships across the globe in support of global
operation centre. The marketing strategies adopted by this company played vital role in
successfully globalizing across the globe. The globalization of Coca- Cola has benefitted the
people in several ways. Coke has offered jobs and many opportunities to the people, which in
turn benefits them in several ways.
