CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMON GOOD
OF ORGANIZATION
PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTIONINTRODUCTION
Globalized community connects the
people across the world with social,
political, economical and
humanitarian base (Holohan, 2016).
Globalization in the non-profit
organization focusses on the
establishment of a perspective of
social science on economic, social
and cultural impacts for the purpose
of managing varying needs (Odugleh-
Kolev & Parrish-Sprowl, 2018). The
purpose of the poster is to
understand the contribution of the
non-profit organizations for common
good. The poster will present an
overview of the selected organization.
The non-profit organization selected
for this assignment is CAPSA
(Catholic Alliance for People Seeking
Asylum).
The non-profit organization, CAPSA work towards creating a humane and fair
treatment program for the individuals seeking asylum. CAPSA responds to the
local and international requirements of the claims by creating an alliance with the
local communities, schools, organizations and volunteers. The organization
facilitate their core principles by respecting the human dignity claimed by
UNHCR Convention in regards with Status of the Refugees. The organization
contribute to the common good by preparing a fair and prompt response system
for any individual seeking asylum. The common good is achieved by responding
to the harsh treatment of the people who seeks protection. Benefits of everyone
is addressed by eliminating detention at the stages of determination process of
refugees. The contribution of CAPSA for the common good of people is directed
towards the protection of respect and services for understanding and facilitating
their basic needs and financial support in the case of unemployment. The
support is enabled by government’s involvement. The contribution is not limited
to the protection of asylum requirements but it extends to the protection of
children’s right of experiencing the opportunity to grow as an individual by the
elimination of detention in the regions of Australia.
Being a community service provider in profession, I
can contribute towards the conduction of events
and programs for the purpose of spreading
awareness and influence in terms of fair and
humane services. Organizing events will help in
eliminating the negative perspective for the
individuals seeking asylum. The skills of digital
marketing, communication and crowd funding can
be utilized for involving the local communities,
government support and organizations’
involvement. I can contribute by conducting wide-
ranged events involving people through social
media platforms and digital media. The contribution
can also be focused on increasing the awareness
about the available help by implementing engaging
contents in digital platform. Funding can be
exercised by organizing flash mobs in community
spaces for the people in need.
