NURSING 1
Introduction
Health aging among the elderly population is generally illustrated as the capability
towards leading a socially inclusive and healthy lifestyle that is relatively free of any sort of
disability and illness. Research studies focus healthy rate of aging as individuals actively
engaged in physical activities for the improvement of their wellbeing and health status. The
international statement of consensus of the physical activity , health and fitness focus over the six
of the major areas that is generally impacted by the psychological efforts. These are shape of the
body, muscular strength, skeletal flexibility , metabolic fitness and motor fitness. According to
McPhee et al.,(2016), some of the additional areas that benefits from the physical activity are
mental health, cognitive function an social adjustments. As per WHO, physical in activity is one
of the unnecessary waste regarding human resources. The lower level of physical activity is
proportional to the increasing number of the chronic illness that follows with the rising age and
the vicious circle including decreasing functional abilities and health (Bauman et al., 2016). The
assignment reviews the article related to physical activity and resistance training on the healthy
aging process.
Discussion
According to the several researches, increasing capacity in muscle and the physical
activity help in the improvement of balance, stamina, flexibility, walking speed and the overall
condition of the physic (Deutz et al., 2014). There lies epidemiological evidences that targets the
fact that regular vigorous exercise decrease the risk towards risk of diabetes and cardiovascular
disease and the forms of cancer. Regular rate of the physical activities among the elderly
population is safe for them and the risk towards the development of the diseases like obesity,
impairments and muscular weakness are decreased.

NURSING 2
Fisher et al., (2017) in their research study stated the numerous benefits of health regarding
resistance trainings of the elderly population. This includes the positive relation among the
muscle mass, muscular strength and the reduction of the all causes of mortality rates. The
research study referred resistance training as one of the medicine. The main theme of the article
illustrates how adherence and participation while remaining low, the perceived trainings and
constraints are often cited as barriers towards resistance training. The authors of the research
study argued the benefits that can be obtained ass the product regarding the approach of minimal
dose. The participation regarding the resistance training has been stated as the prophylactic in the
study towards delay or the prevention of the onset of the biological aging process. The research
study presented short review of the studies with the report of the benefits of the health that
results from low volume of the participation of resistance training that is presented in the current
era. The authors of the research study interpreted how resistance training provides considerable
psychological, physiological benefits of health. The research study furthermore suggests the
psychological and psychological benefits of the health that can be obtained from the resistance
training which is obtained by the use of minimal dose approach. The authors of the study found
in their research findings that most of the individuals who belong to the aging population prefers
to use uncomplicated equipment’s or methods. The limitations of the research study is that the
research included very selected range of population for interview and data collection. The
strength of the study lies on the fact that the authors emphasised over the considerable health
benefits of resistance training , where many of the people failed to realise that the positive
responses has been attained by the use of low to moderate level of resistance training. This
research study connect well with the given case study of Frederic Arum, where his general
physician suggested him to start weight bearing exercises for strengthening muscles and his mind
