INTRODUCTION
Health care environment is undertaken as key concern into the field of medical services.
Moreover, this is needed to be considered within main concern when this comes to societal
health (Aljuwaiber, 2016). Also, this is one of the safe, empowering as well as satisfying
(Bolden, 2020). Along with this, for maintaining the health environment, the heath care
systems are rendering additional services for making patient’s feel healthier as well as fresh.
The topics which are going to be covered in this report are role of health care manager in
firm, impacts of organisational structure upon their culture. Apart from this, several entities’
structure into business, health and social care organisational are discussed in this report.
MAIN BODY
Role of health care manager in NHS foundation trust.
As the health care manager have various responsibilities into remit of its practices for
assuring that effective provision of health and social care services is maintained. So, the NHS
foundation trust is a semi-autonomous organisational unit into NHS within England.
Moreover, it has a degree of independence from the Health and social care department. Also,
within it there are various managers that plays different role such as clinical manager,
operational manager, practice manager, finance manager, information manager and others
(Dent and Whitehead, 2020). Some of the role of health care managers that plays in NHS
foundation trust are discussed below:
To deliver health care service as well as treatment to their patients.
To plan for future development for their operations as well as functions.
Setting the priorities task so that important aspects can be attained at first.
Managing the clinical practices budget.
Assuring money value as well as quality into services and others
To organise as well as coordinate day to day practices and resources, liaising with
clinical staff members and many other professionals.
Managing a group of individuals within office atmosphere.
Overseeing developing maintenance, environmental facilities, security and
others.
To assure that reusable medical equipments is cleaned, sterilized as well as repacked
for higher standards, also ready for utilise into places like operating theatres (NHS,
2020).

It is a responsibility of healthcare managers is to provide all necessary
activities and effective operations of business. A manager without responsibility is
unable to achieve growth within an organisation. Therefore, it is essential for them to
assigned responsibilities in appropriate way so that positive results.
Monitor staff- This is being considered as most important responsibility of a
healthcare manager as monitoring and controlling staff and members within a
management is important and which is being managed by healthcare manager through
which better productivity is produced. Also, by properly focusing on staff as well as
members it is easy to engage everyone at work environment (Bentrott, 2017).
Maintaining discipline- It is another is possibility of a healthcare manager in which
main duty is to maintain discipline and behaviour of an employee as well as their
attitude towards each other. By following this responsibility manager of health care is
able to build effective team. Also it has been stated that discipline has been it is the
top most important responsibility of manager within these enterprises.
Implement strategies for successful planning- In context of healthcare manager,
their duties to regulate and adapt new policies, implement effective tactics as well as
strategies so that planning is being done in most efficient way. Also, to manage and
give review of an implemented strategy for planning for further processes (Chalk,
2016).
Carry out induction & other programmes- In this type of responsibility duty of
manager are to introduce new reference and employees and introduce them to the
management and other colleagues through carrying out induction programs as well as
different activities. Managers are responsible for initiative of programs and other co-
curricular activities within enterprises the purpose of meeting new employees engaged
with the work environment.
After analysing the above roles as well as responsibilities of a healthcare manager it
has been stated that by preparing managing and carrying out these it is easier to achieve
objectives. It has been also specified that these are the critical and important part of health
care to make ensure that all the stated roles and responsibilities are fulfilled by their
managers and leaders in most appropriate way.
