Introduction
Human respiratory system is a very crucial organ system of the body because it is
directly associated with the survival of human beings. All the metabolic processes required
for the survival of all organisms, requires coordination from their respiratory system. Human
respiratory system consists of a set of organs cooperating with each other while performing
breathing and respiration. The respiratory system has been found to consist of organs and
various other parts of the body which is associated with breathing. The breathing process has
been found to be connected to the exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen. The main parts of
the respiratory system include the sinuses, the adenoids, the nasal cavity, the tonsils, the
pharynx, the epiglottis, the larynx, the esophagus, the trachea, the ribs, the right lung, the
pleura, and the cavity. Lungs are the most important organs of the respiratory system
(Hansen, 2018). This organ has been found to be associated with most of the diseases of the
upper respiratory tract.
Body
The human respiratory system has been found to use two ways to maintain the homeostasis
of the body. The two ways are regulation of pH associated with blood and performing a
proper gas exchange. The gas exchange has been found to help in the maintenance of
homeostasis which supplies the cells with oxygen which is associated with CO2 waste. This
factor has been found to maintain proper blood pH (Kiyokawa& Morimoto, 2020). The
breathing process has been found to lead to large muscle contractions associated with the
large muscle known as the diaphragm. Homeostasis has been found to be required for the
survival of human beings. Homeostasis has been stated to be maintained by proper oxygen
and carbon dioxide exchange performed by lungs.
