INTRODUCTION
Supporting individuals refers to giving support to the individuals who are suffering from
significant life events. The Significant changes is mandatory in every individual life, also
individual accept changes and development in their lives it is very essential, as it is the time
when individual are not followed and not supported given guideline, they may also affect their
life and that is creates the negative effects on themselves, as well as the social environment in
general. In This report there are three case study that is discusses about the different scenario.
The first scenario is. Impact of significant events on the lives of an individual and also describe
that how they are reacted and face this type of situations.
Further, it also discusses that Group responses to significant life events that occur to one
of its member. Apart from this, the report will describe that how health and social care
organizations provide support to individuals in the difficult situations. In the second scenario
report will Evaluate the effectiveness of organizational policies and procedures in supporting
individuals affected by significant life styles. Further report will describe that how social
networks may provide support to individuals. Also, report will describe the suitability of external
sources of support for individual. In the third scenario report will describe that health care
professionals responses to the need to support individuals experiencing in a significant life event.
Also, describe personal contribution and some recommendation to the health and social care
professionals.
TASK 1
1. Impact of significant life events on individuals.
Impact of significant life events on individuals. The live events defined as different changes that
happen in the life of any person in any situation and in a sudden, sometimes individual cannot
understand what is happening in the life. They not have been ready for sudden changes, so they
need to take some times for deal with this type of situations.
From the case study of Rita it has been described that Rita was affected by the breast cancer. So
she is not mentally or physical prepared for this type of situation, she is emotionally depressed
because she is not ready for the big diseases.
Physically affected
Rita was physically affected, for this condition which increase the anxiety and depression so the
survival is more difficult for her life. It can harder for her because she is not feel happy, and she

cannot eat properly, also cannot do exercise and meditation properly. The anxiety and depression
is increased the feelings of frustration in their life. So Rita was disappointed for having breast
cancer. Having breast cancer Rita also not connected with their friends, so they feel very
depressed and this can make very difficult for them for recover from the depression and
frustration. Also, Rita is not concentrate on their health she cannot eat properly as result the
cancer is affected their body, and she died in a few months.
Mentally affected
Rita was mentally affected, she forgets all think. Also in the last stage of cancer she loss
their memory, she cannot identify their friends. So for looking this situation of Rita this is clearly
identified that she cannot care her health that is the reason she not survives, also Depression can
be affected the life for long period, so Rita cannot survive because their mind cannot work
properly, as it reason that, depression can lead to loss life.
Emotionally affected
Rita also, face many problems in their life. The support by family members have missing in their
life. So, it is the big reason Rita has missed in their life, and she cannot come up which leads the
anxiety and affect their health.
The stress will affect the mental health of Rita in both emotional and psychological form.
2. Group responses to significant life events that occur to one of its member.
Sue is the best friend of Rita, When they know that Rita was survived from the breast
cancer they also feel disappointed. But sue is always make feel to the Rita. They always support
her friend. Sue always motivate to Rita, they always try that Rita accept the things that happen in
their life. Sue has always tried to encourage them and also they provide good vibes to Rita for
overcome the anxiety and depression (Kranzow, HINKLE, and FOOTE, 2015).
Other people of the community has also tried to encourage Rita for compete this
situation, all members has organized the outdoor activities for providing the fresh environment
to Rita, they do many activities to overcome the anxiety, also member of the shelters has planned
the outdoor vacation to motivating and encouraging her. Also, when Rita missed her family
members, so the member of the community has also support the Rita that they are the family
members of her. So basically all the members are support to her for overcome to this situation
that affect her life. Also, the community member can provide help sue for organize the Rita
funeral on according to the Rita last wish. So all members provide help to sue for financial
