The objective of this report is to identify the strategic role of a hospitality provider in the
event hosting and catering services. Hospitality services are related to manage the quality
products supply and manage the function of the event catering in manner to satisfy the guest
and organisation with the services (Nolan, 2018). This report will analyse the hospitality role
and practice of good ethics by ExCeL London, Hospitality that is selected by Nike to serve
the catering and hospitality services in his dynamic event at ExCeL London. This report will
focus on effective strategies to analyse the series qualities and good practices of the
hospitality service provider to assure the success of the upcoming event (Mullins & Dossor,
2013).
Hospitality Provider Role
Before entering in the contract to supply the hospitality services for the events with the
ExCeL London Hospitality, Nike needs to examine and evaluate its role and strategies in the
management to ensure effective event hosting in the London. Nike will examine two
strategies in the ExCeL as;
Delivering an exceptional catering experience in terms of menu selection,
presentation, quality of product, portion control, speed / quality of service & dietary
requirements
ExCeL London, focuses to ensure the quality of food that remain in the mind of visitors for a
long time and that represents the hosting organisation as best decision maker in setting the
quality and testy food supply during the events. On visiting the websites of the ExCeL
London, it clearly represents brochures, a proper menu that includes the meal, lunch and
breakfast with selective healthy options (Gabarda-Mallorquí & Ribas, 2017). It offer verities

characteristics according to seasons, places and kind of the events, an event can be
professional, ritual, traditional, or technological. ExCeL needs to hire employees who are
flexible to working according the challenging and demanding situation (Sucher & and
Catherine, 2015).
ExCeL hires employees proficient in the hospitality services and have a great command over
the speaking many languages frequently. ExCeL hires the employees and provides them basic
and advanced training to deal the catering and food serving practices at the international
level. It manages a regular training and development session that helps the catering and other
staff to work according to the changes and requirements (Wood, 2015). It have two types of
employees permanent and part-time university students, these two have effective involvement
of services including the counter services, table services, café, bar, vegetarian, non-
