people, usingcoronakit, checkingeveryone’stemperatureetc.Inthissituation, upper management of group also need to follow this consumer trend in its workplace for attracting maximum visitors and tourists in this pandemic situation as well. For example; it can provide sanitizer to all people, like; visitors, employees and staff etc. for protecting them from the infection of corona virus. On the other side, group can start to check temperature of all visitors as well for ensuring that existing visitor has no symptoms of Covid 19 In this situation, after taking all precautions of corona virus pandemic, upper management of science museum group can simply attract many people in its museums, because now people like to visit only such places where existing management is caring for its visitors’ health (Demirag, 2018). This behaviour of people, customers or visitors is currently highly trending in market place, in which the management of group have to follow this consumer trend to achieve better outcomes. Sustainability performance ExistingmanagementandadministrationofSMGisablemaintainaneffective sustainability in it’s all museums performance (Gregory, 2019). Basically, all museums which comes under the command of SMG has gained excellent performance in the last few years of operations, because present upper management of group has skills to perfectly manage, direct and monitor its various activities of museums in a proper manner. Top-level management of group is completely aware about the positive impact of sustainable performance, because when any organisation systematically manages its performance, then it can simply achieve sustainable growth in market place. For day to day improving performance own different museums, existing management of group has hired different skills and talented employees, who makes different productive strategies to it’s all museums for continuously developing own performance in market place.Currently sustainable performance in all museums of group is very necessary to achieve excellent growth in market place, so that upper management of this group has focused on implementing changes in its various museums after analysing consumer trends, because this is important to SMG to attract maximum visitors. After conducting these practices, the group can simply gain sustainable growth.Chairman of SMG Mr. Dame Mary Archer knows that, currently many museums and tourists’ destinations exist in the United Kingdom, in which it is necessary to him for implementing some productive strategies for attracting maximum tourists and visitors
towards museums which comes under his command (Ledgerwood, 2017). After considering these all factors, he can simply achieve sustainable performance as well as sustainable growth in tourism, hospitality and event industry. Financial operations Each organisation or group has always need of fund for successfully implementing different decided activities and operations. In this situation, as a non-departmental public body, the upper management of SMG also has required to raise fund from different sources for properly running its various operations in the UK’s industry of tourism, hospitality and event (Annual Report and Accounts 2018–19, 2019). In this situation, group’s upper management mostly need tomake a specific plan to financially operate its different operations in market place. With 25 effective and skilled employees and a head of finance are properly managing different financial operation, business support services and financial reporting in the SMG. The head empowers colleagues for making financially-robust decisions of business. The head supports activities of income generation, and these all activities very positively affects to financial operations of group.Proper finance is very necessary to group of museums for attracting maximum tourists and visitors, in which here top-level management uses different potential sources of funding to get funded. For example; currently charity, donation, taxation etc. major funding sources to SMG, in which it has raised huge fund through these all sources of funding to properly run its various operations. The group has raised fund from selling the tickets of museums as well to various visitors and tourists. The science museum group is funded by the local government as well (Long and Inbar, 2016). Basically, when government of the United Kingdom prepares a yearly budget, then it mentions that fund also in this budget which it needs to provide different governing tourists destinations and museums etc. However, local government uses that fund to various museums and destinations, which it has raised by imposing taxation obligations on local people and businesses. These are some key ways which SMG uses to get funded for implementing own different activities in the UK’s tourism, hospitality and event industry. SMG governance SMG is completely a governing body which operates on the basis of UK government; rules & regulations and guidelines (Mallin, 2016). Currently existing government of the United
Kingdom has full right to implement any change in this group of museums, because it is a government funded group which has established to promote the culture, engineering, technology in across the nation.Present chairman of group also has appointed by the UK’s prime minister, and that’s why chairman has always required to follow various guidelines of local government to operate its various activities and operations in market place. Chairman is main in charge for reporting to local government about any changes, staff reports to chairman etc. This is the procedure to report seniors on SMG.Government of country always provides appropriate fund to this group for implementing such activities in workplace which it has mentioned in its yearly plan. In case, if any factor or aspect negatively affect to operations of group, then the chairman is responsible share this thing with upper governing office(TOP TECHNOLOGY TRENDS FOR 2020: WHAT IT MEANS FOR MUSEUM AND NONPROFITS,2020). This is necessary to run all operations of museums very effective. On the other side, when the management of this group wants implement any change in order to developing different museums, in which it needs to inform in this condition as well to government. Basically, science museum group is responsible to provide daily report to local government about its operations. Key stakeholders Currently government, visitors and tourists, suppliers, employees, local people etc. are major stakeholders of the SMG (science museum group). These all stakeholders always affect to the decision-making of top-level management of SMG(ANNUAL REVIEW 2019-20, 2020). In this dynamic and modern world, top-level management at of each tourism place has required to maintain great relationship with its different stakeholders for successfully running its various operations in market place. The implications of these all stakeholders on science museum group has been mentioned below; Government:Currently this group of science and industry museums is completely owned by the local government of the United Kingdom. For example; currently Mr. Dame Mary Archer is the chairman of SMG who has appointed by existing prime minister of the country Mr. David Cameron. It means, government of the UK has managed, controlled, monitored this group in country, and that’s why upper management of this group is responsible to take orders from government to implement any change in daily operations of all museums.

Visitors and tourists:Visitors and tourist are also major stakeholders of SMG, because they are the people gives chance to group for earning excellent return (Otter and Wetherly, 2018). Basically,top-levelmanagementofthisgroupdecoratesitsdifferentmuseumsonlyfor providing excellent experience to different tourists and visitors. Basically, when any visitor visits museums of group, then it has required to buy tickets, and this is the ways of group for earning some fund. However, group mostly invests all earned fund in its development and improvement of various museums. Suppliers:Supplier also can be considered a key stakeholder of SMG, because they provide different items, goods and products for successfully running various operations of group. For example; the group has decorated its different museums with effective lighting and colourful bulbs, so that there are suppliers supplies such items to group’s upper management for making all museums very effective. Staff or employees:Employees or staff are also major stakeholders of this group, and upper management of science museum group can’t run its different operations without its existing staff or employees. For example; staff within various museums guide to different visitors for when thy has any query. On the other side, staff within museums contributes in maintaining a safe and secure environment for different visitors and tourists (Agyeman, 2019). These all roles are enough to show that, employees or staff are key stakeholders to existing group of museums. Local people:As everyone knows that, the science museum group mainly runs by using fund of charity and donation, in which local people are stakeholders to this group, because they provide fund to SMG in the form of charity and donation. Most local people of the United Kingdom believe in donating huge fund to different non-profit organisation, so that people’s charity and donation aspects uses by top-level management of group to get funded(ANNUAL REVIEW 2019-20, 2020). On the other side, group runs by using people’s tax amount as well, because local government also provides fund to SMG which it has raised through taxation of local people. This is the main reason that, local people are major stakeholders to science museum group.
Current issues Currently there are various issues exists in the SMG’s work environment highly affects to its various stakeholders in market place, in which these all issues have been discussed below one by one with their impact on the stakeholders. Corona virus (Covid 19) pandemic:Currently this is the biggest issue in work environment of science museum group which is very badly affecting to its each stakeholder. Basically, in the beginning of 2020 to date, all this corona virus pandemic become very big issue to SMG as well as different stakeholders (Top visitor attraction trends for 2020,2020). For example; when many numbers of corona active cases were started to found in the country, then government of the UK has taken decision of lockdown, in which the management of group also was influenced to close its various museums for people and visitors till the next order of government. So that, this pandemic has affected to visitors for not visiting different museums of group, this issue has affected to local people for not providing fund to group in the form of donation and charity, issue has influenced to staff or employees for not going to workplace for being protected from the infection of corona virus, etc. On the basis of these all factors, issue of corona virus pandemic has very negatively affected to all stakeholders of science museum group. Lack of funding:Currently top-level management of SMG is not able to properly run its various operations due to having issue of lack of funding (Financial Reporting Council, 2018). This issue is completely developed because of corona virus. Recently, many local people of the United Kingdom have lost their jobs because of lockdown, and the lockdown was implemented by government for stopping the spread of Covid 19 cases. In this situation, currently many of people don’t have proper jobs and employment, so they are not earning appropriate money. As result, they are not getting motivated to provide fund to SMG in the form of charity and donation (PIVOVAROV, 2018). This is the main reason that, currently upper management at group is not able to run its operations due to lack of fund, and at the end, this issue is also negatively affecting to various stakeholders, because when group will successfully run its various operations again, then all stakeholders can be positively affected.
CONCLUSION On the basis of above findings, it can be concluded that currently SMG (science museum group) is very aggressive in making it’s all museums too effective and attractive. Top-level management of this group is fully able to achieve its various objectives in decided time period by using different productive strategies. For example; it uses strategy sustainable performance, that encourages SMG for improving performance of its museums in the UK’s tourism, hospitality and event industry. It can be also concluded that, group is completely governed by the local government of United Kingdom, and that’s why upper management of this group has always required to follow guidelines which has given by the government.
