INTRODUCTION
The concept of leadership is wide that defines the process influencing others for
accomplishing objectives and directing organisation in such manner that makes more cohesive
and coherent. The leadership attributes such as beliefs, knowledge, skills, values and ethics are
applied by leaders to carry out this process. It is a continuous process which is considered as
mutual relation between leader and followers. Leadership is a dynamic process and in
organisation good leaders are made not born (Bush and et.al., 2019). For the essay Tesco
organisation is considered which is a multinational groceries & general merchandise retailer
established in 1919, UK. The essay will cover the background of topic with its importance and
benefits. There is identification of challenges that organisation will encounter and from the
perspective of employer and employee what it benefits or not is considered. Further, example is
taken of other organisation that benefits and challenges they experience and how improvements
can be made and what other organisation do for improving growth.

Background of topic- Leadership
The conception of leadership was created by the Peter Drucker who invented
management and Warren Bennis invented leadership as business ideas which provide an
distinction between the managers and leaders. The managers are likes to do things right whereas
leaders are people who do right thing. The leadership defines the ability of influencing and
motivating others to bring out best in them which focuses on encouraging individuals for adding
more to overall effectiveness of organisation. This helps in achieving the common goals in
organisation by directing workers & colleagues with strategy to meet the needs of company
(Chon, and Zoltan, 2019). The leaders in the organisation have critical thinking skills which
helps in knowing the best way of using resources. The leadership has link with performance in
business context where effective leaders help company to increase their bottom lines. The
leadership capabilities can be developed through leadership courses, mentorship and experience
as leaders are made not born. There are some leaders who posses traits which comes naturals to
them or developed early in their lives. The leadership in organisation shows workers how they
can perform their responsibilities effectively and supervise regularly to complete their tasks.
