Portfolio Evidence [Week 7] Cross-cultural awareness/negotiating
A British and Chinese company who have been awarded the largest contracts need to
negotiate with each other in the transport project of Saudi Arabia. Now of the companies
want to acquire the project have one option which is negotiating. Therefore, now negotiation
is agreeing on the point with mutual consent. Moreover, in this process both party can either
divide the work and profits on equal grounds or can give away the project to one of the party
with some profit. Besides the negotiation process needs a middle person who can make both
the parties understand the ultimate end of the project. The broker or the middle person is the
individual should be neutral on both the sides in order to reach the end result without creating
conflicts. Hence, the negotiation can only be done when both the parties agree to the decision.
Week 8 Portfolio Evidence, Presentation Plan
In our group presentation we divided our work according to our skills and capabilities
in order to avoid the conflicts. Further, when we started the presentation we took our

have good interaction and communication skills. Everyone in the team knew about my
strengths that is why all of them were listening to me which establishes the perfect combo of
coordination and cooperation in our team. Henceforth, we completed our task on which helps
us in gaining major appreciation from seniors and I feel that these presentations activities
helped me in gaining skills which will assist me in my future professional life.

attained in a more appropriate and honest manner. Recruitment gives the power to hire and recruit new employees to the company. This
will be important for the company as the new employees can help the organization to be more innovative in their product and will
enhance the performance and profit off the Morrison. I am also interested in the training and development field. By this appropriate
training and development is given to employees in order to make them aware about the company strength and weaknesses. It will also
help the employees working at Morrisons to recognize the skills and talent to do the tasks effectively.
The things one can learn from professional skills can be adaptability as in this modern world, there is are requirement to be more flexible
in order to address things. Everyday there is an change in the way the work is to be done so there is a need of new technologies. A

2. Evaluation of group’s effectiveness
As a HR of Morrison being able to work in a group I felt that my communication and teamwork skills and abilities have developed as it
allows to work together on the same topic which in turn will increase efficiency of work as work will completed in less times and more
rapidly. It also will enhance the relationship at office as the group work support one another and adapt to each other's working lifestyle. It
will lead to the development of skills as being a part of a group it will enhance the interpersonal talent such listening, speaking as well as
team skills like leadership and encouraging other etc.
The challenges that can be faced in the group can be if task are not done according to the deadline and there may be issues if the ideas
and strategies ate not properly discusses as a team and members are not giving their contribution in team work.8 There can be challenges
if the communication is not appropriate between the group members. In order to deal with these challenges that have to discuss and
develop a timeline for ALL members to complete the tasks. Brainstorming and each members need to be ask individually about their
ideas. Identification of issues need to be done that might affect communication.
I was over ambitious as this was a completely new experience for me to work in a team. I was excited to work with other people in a
team. This would help me to find out my strength and weaknesses while working with them. It will also help me to inherit a new things
from them while working,It also deepens the knowledge to understand a particular subject area by discussing the ideas and sharing it with
a team. For the overall performance of the both organization and individual working in a group can be beneficial.
In the future time, there are certain changes that need to be done differently such as proper assistance and guidance need to be given to
group so as to work can be completed in the given time period.9Also every group member should be given the opportunity represent their
ideas and knowledge regarding the organization. It is important that various issues need to be addressed that may cause ineffective
