INTRODUCTIONTraining means teaching or developing the knowledge or skills to do special work oroperations. Training has a major objective to improving employee's performance, capacity,capability and productivity. Training represents a common thought in human resourcedevelopment. It is a great useful tool for employees development and enhance their ability. Withthe perfect training every employee can do their work conscientiously, correctly and effectively.It is useful process for improving the desired standard by practice and instruction. Training is agreat act of enhancing the skills and ability of an employee to do their job. According to Dale S.Beach, training is a best process by which employee increase their skills and knowledge forachieving definite objectives and purpose. It can also assist the members of a company to applytheir best knowledge, attitudes, abilities and skills in the organisation and particular job. Training is very necessary for developing employee's skills and qualifications and everyorganisation should have to provide it. Training is required because of many reasons. Manyeffective technologies in the organisation such as computerization, automation andmechanization have generated various changes that need skilled and knowledgable employees.So the organisation should have to provide effective training to staffs with the latest knowledgeand technology. Training is more mandatory to solve the Organisational complexity. Trainingalso offers many solutions to deal with various human relations problems in an organisationbecause it is very essential to maintain good human relations for proper management. Training ismandatory for the staff of an organisation to take challenges from changing environment.Training programs includes introduction training, job instruction training, vestibule training,refresher training and apprenticeship training. Hilton also used various training programs andtraining methods for the great development of their employees. MAIN BODYActivities of the training programmesTraining is a major portion of human resource development like recruitment,compensation and selections. Activities of the training programmes in Hilton includes manytraining courses that are created internally and purchase from an outsiders suppliers, a profitraising training activity, on-the-job activities of training, work experience and apprenticeshipsand a test of follow up training activity (Swanson,Holton and Holton., 2001).
