Firstly report willexplain purpose and importance of HR functions, role and responsibilities of HR, advantages anddisadvantages of employees recruitment process (Bogner, 2018). After this report will discussabout person specification, medium of advertising, advantages and disadvantages of advertisingmedium. Next step of report will describe employees graduate and apprenticeship schemes,development opportunities, flexibility in work and job design. And the last discuss aboutemployee engagement, approaches and employment legislation.TASK 1a) Purpose of the HR functions-HR is an important part of an organization. It operates performance functions foraccomplishing different purposes of an organization.Recruitment- HR select skilled and qualified employees for company growth and fororganization goodwill.' . 'Say it with chocolate' recruit skilled candidates for growth purpose.Training- To teach company's culture and job responsibilities, HR conducts training program.'Say it with chocolate' HR department arrange training sessions for new joining and make themmore comfortable.Job satisfaction- Employees are satisfied with their job; main purpose of 'Say it with chocolate',HR provides every facility to employees, which make them satisfied with their job.Importance of HR- HR department resolves organization’s problems. For the company's future growth, it has to recruit talented and skilled people andstart production according to customers’ demands and requirements.b) Role and responsibilities of Human Resources OfficerHuman Resources Officer is responsible for prepared and maintain employees’ workrecords, recruitment of employees, plan and apply policies.Recruitment- Skilled and qualified employees is necessary for organization’s growth. HRselects right candidates for the right job (Brewster and Hegewisch, 2017). As HR officer of 'Sayit with chocolate' it is his responsibility to appoint talented employees’ according to jobresponsibilitiesMaintaining work atmosphere- As 'Say it with chocolate' HR, it is my job that I provide goodworking environment, where employees feel safe and healthy. Open communication givesemployees’ freedom to discuss their problems with management. Training-Organized development and grooming workshop for fresher as well as old employees.As 'Say it with chocolate', I conduct training sessions for employees to make them familiar withorganizational culture and teach them about their responsibilities.Development- As HR of 'Say it with chocolate', I organized employees’ development classesonce in a month. These classes profitable not only employees but also organization growth.These kinds of development class improve employees’ skills and make them more talented.Appraisals- Gives appraisals for employees’ good performance. Appraisal is the motivation partof their performance (Brewster,2017).. As a 'Say it with chocolate' HR, I organized rewardceremony and provide rewards like case, performer trophy and certificates Employees performance, development are the result of HR efforts.c) Advantages and disadvantages of the selection methods-Advantages- Employees selection methods have their own advantages, few are below-1.Employees’ selection method focus on qualified, skilled and talented employees. personalinterview program, aptitude test, English and maths knowledge test of employees showtheir mental level. Selection method helpful for right candidate appointment. 'Say it with2

chocolate' select employees according to their test results, last organization experienceand achievements.2.With the use of aptitude test organization select the right candidate for relevant job. Thistest is helpful to check out employees’ mental level. Few improvements of selection methods are below-Finding- During candidate’s selection process, an interviewer cannot come to know whatqualities of candidate are. They fail to know job forecasting. recruiters make some fake scripts, questions or give certain questions according to scripts andask the solutions. This activity helpful to know candidate decision-making power in unfairsituations. 'Say it with chocolate' provides fake case study and ask candidates their opinion oncase.Practical applications- This selection process increases the practical knowledge of applicants.Discuss a situation with employees’ about their last data figure and ask their opinion about thediscussed situation. Reaction of candidate on situation shows their working ability under workpressure. 'Say it with chocolate' conducts group discussion between applicants and monitor theirreactions on other opinions to know how frequently candidates react on situation.Significance- Recruiter organizes candidate selection process to decide that which is moresuitable for the vacant job. Group discussion, essay writing, online searching etc. are processes,which show candidate’s knowledge in different fields. 'Say it with chocolate' should improve its interview process and appoints skilled candidates forcompany's future growth (Harding, 2017). TASK 2a) Person specification for the role-Applicant has to know competencies of job level and use it in their job role. During theinterview process recruiter observe some specific competencies. Receptionist has few core jobresponsibilities which are explained below-Person specification- ReceptionistCore Values1.Organizer- Conduct and manage organisation activities like annual meetings, culture program etc. Arrange activities schedules is its responsibility.2.Communication- Good and soft speaker and attend visitors and clients properly. Receptionist mast has good communication skill. Its strong communication attract visitors.3.Helping nature- Helping and friendly nature make visitors comfortable. Customers and clients ask any quarry without any hesitation.4.Self- developer- Self-developer and motivator, positively react in unfair situations.
