INTRODUCTION
Human resources management is a process of organising, planning, conducting, managing all
employees with in work place. Through this activities firm are Abel to improve profitability

satisfaction. In this assessment TESCO plc has selected to explain role and function of HRM
in their store and whole company (Arnaud and Wasieleski, 2014). It is a British international
retail firm that run their business around 100 stores in all overall the country. In this report
covers purpose, effectiveness and function of HRM with in an organisation. Also covers
importance of employees relations as well as strength and weakness of recruitment and
selection process.

Human resource activities are a one of the important aspect to run whole business
activities with in a company as well as outside the firm working environment. It is a one of
the important task that helps to run whole business in an effective manner. HR manager of
TESCO plc is hire talented candidate for their firm thus rise quality of goods, that enhance
clients satisfaction as well as experience. Some important function and purpose of HRM are
explain as follows:

Planning: HR manage of an organisation has develop plan related to recruitment, selection,
job specification, role and responsibility, HR policies and many more. Through this, firm are
capable to operate whole business work in an effective ways. Planning is a one of the
important aspect which provide blueprint of all work process.
Training and development: Executive organising training event with in work place for all
staff members in order to improve their knowledge and skills. By this, management of the
TASCO plc are able to manage all employees’ performance in an effective manner. For this,
it is important to know workers learning style and capabilities, accordingly select most
appropriate method of training which help to full fill all labour needs and wants effectively

safety working environment with in an organisation which improves employee’s performance
as well as reduces conflicts among all staff members as well as management and workers. By

share.
Staffing and organising: recruitment and selection is a most important task of all human
resource manager in an organisation. In this, they analyse job specification and responsibility
accordingly select most appropriate employee to play role and duties of work effectively for
their TASCO plc, which are capable to complete task in an effective ways. It is a one of the
important work which improves quality of performance as well as goods.

benefits and compensation according to staff members capabilities and performance in order
to enhance their self confidence and moral. It is a one of the important tool and strategies to
rise workers positive motivation toward firm.

All of these are their own strength and weakness which affect HR manager works. So that, it
is very important for an organisation to consider these all factors which create negative as
well as positive impact on employees performance. HR executive select most appropriate
method according to their needs and wants (Chelladurai and Kerwin, 2017). TASCO plc want
talented candidate for their organisation, those are capable to create more profits for the
company in given time frame. Various type of methodology is available at market place in
order to match all requirement in an effective manner. Executive are responsible to choose
best method among all available alternatives in accurate manner. Mostly two types of
recruitment method are widely used internal and external.
Internal and external recruitment sources: Manager recruits employees with in an
organisation through promotion, transfers, reference, present employees and many more, it is
called internal recruitment sources. Executive recruit’s workers outside the company through
