There are almost 1415supermarket available in all over the world and this report is designed to assess knowledge ofhuman resource management and its functions to the workforce planning. The report alsoexplains the strength and weaknesses of different approaches that are used in recruitment andselection process. It also explains benefits of human resource management for employee as wellas employer in Sainsbury's. The report also help to present the effectiveness of different HRMpractices for company's profit and its productivity. It also analyze the importance of employeerelations with respect to HRM decision making. The report also identify the key elements ofemployment legislation and the impact upon its decision making.TASK 11. Recruitment and Selection: it is count one of the most important function of Humanresource. Recruitment is the process of selecting a right candidate for the job based onobjective criteria (Function of HR, 2018). In the context of Sainsbury's, HR also hiresome of the qualified employees for the job and take interviews then select the bestoption out of many.Employee relations: Another major function of HR is to maintain or manage employeerelations because employee are the pillars of an organization. HR of Sainsbury's alsoorganized many activity in order to know them personally as well as professionally.There is a need to manage relationship and motivate them because they are the keyperson of an organization.Training and development: employers must provide all the necessary tools such as HRprovide training and development session for their new employees in order to know theirrole and responsibilities towards new organizational culture (Azarniya and et.al., 2015).HR of Sainsbury's even provide leadership training and hire supervisors who can lookafter their workings. Company also provide professional development activity which helpto achieve personal goals. M1Human resource help every individual and try to enhance their level of performance.They recruit or select those qualified candidate for their job field who can achieve all the targetsand desired goals. HR also provide training session to new individual and motivate them tocomplete the need of an organization (Haddow and et.al., 2014). These functions of HR help toenhance individual talent and skill to fulfill the objectives of business.2. Human resource of Sainsbury's uses both method and hire the best candidate for acompany (Advanatges and disadvantages of recruitment method, 2018).
