INTRODUCTION
HRM is a major function which is present in an organization since they provide
businesses with opportunities to improve workforce by recruitment in firms. There are a lot of
measures which have been taken in organizations by management so that this practice can be
improved and company will be able to benefit from them. HR manager has to select very modern
and effective HRM strategies for organization so that there is going to be a good operations of
the business in market. There is training and development which is provided by HRM of
organization so that changes in the business can come in easily. Morrison hotel is having a lot of
experience in the market which is why they have a strong HRM functioning in the organization
since they understand value of this department. Company is going to have a higher reputation
and a good brand image for customers to get attracted making organization has higher
profitability in market. The purpose, functioning, recruitment approaches, etc are going to be
discussed in the report in detail so that there is going to be a better understanding of this topic.

P1 Purpose and functioning of HRM
The purpose and functions of the HRM in business are a lot which is going to help
business have a good operation and performance level of business in market. Morrison is having
a high competition in market which will have to be analysed and decisions will have to be made
accordingly. There is a friendly environment which is created for employees so that they can find
it comfortable to be able to work in the business. Motivation at all levels is provided to the
employees of Morrison so that customers are receiving best of services and products from
organization (DeCenzo, Robbins and Verhulst, 2016). Needs and demands of the customers are
changing and so are trends which will have to be followed by organization. There are changes
but satisfaction of employees is very essential which will have to be maintained so that there is
going to be a better loyalty. Functions of HRM are going to be discussed in further report.
Targeted hiring

There has to be good productivity and performance of the business in market for which there
must be good hiring from Morrison hotel. Expectations and standards of Morrison hotel are set
and employees have to maintain them so that internal and external environment of the
organization can be maintained. There have to be targets set by Morrison in organization for
recruitment as well so that there is a standard which can be maintained by the organization in
market. Demands and needs of customers have to be met of customers so that there is going to be
a good brand image and portfolio of business in this competitive market. HRM must take care of
operations and satisfaction of the employees in the company which makes productivity of the
business faster.
Employee learning and education
For employees to have a clarity of working there has to be good learning skill and knowledge
in them so that the organization will be able to use this factor effectively for the smooth
functioning (Ren, Tang and Jackson, 2018). There are extra privileges and incentives as well
which are being provided to the employees which are putting in their best and helping customers
have a better experience.
Training and Development
Employees are being hired in Morrison which is helping the business get in more ideas and
innovations making the customers have a better experience and adding unique features to the
organization in the market. But Morrison has developed a standard which the employees will
have to match therefore HRM is having a strong training and development which is being
provided so that the technological changes which are coming in can be handled for a long run.
