ABSTRACT
Human resource management is the department which is concern with the hiring of the
potential candidate who can perform their job role in an appropriate manner with the aim of
achieving the organisational goal. They are also concern with the performance management so
that they can get effectiveness within the organisation in order to establish the good brand image
in the large market. This report will evaluate the factors which are contributing in the success of
the company also evaluate the difference between the HRM and personnel management.
INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is aspect which is related with the hiring of potential
candidate who can perform their specific job role in an appropriate manner with the
consideration of meeting the the core objective of the organsiation. It is also evaluated with the
performance appraisal and compensation of them life indenture job related benefits and proper
employee engagement within the organisation(Shipton and et. al, 2016). Employees are the
backbone achieve the organisational goal by using their integrated set of skills and capabilities
which ensures the smooth level of various operations in the business organisation. With the
effective recruitment of the individual by choosing right source of recruitment organisation and
their effectiveness and skilled employees give their best in attaining organsiational goal.
British Airways is the chosen organisation for this report and it is the the UK based airlines
company. This report will analyse the aspects that is creating effectiveness to the firm and also
explain the impact of cultural and regional on Human resource management. Moreover it will
analyse the difference between HRM and personnel management by using by using storey's 27
model. It will also explain the employment law in the the micro market and also evaluate the
significance of HRM in the culture. Lastly it will evaluate and analyse then suggest their
employees regarding certain HRM practices for achieving their desire goal.

Explain how value was created by the firm by using HR strategies with examples.
Human resource is the aspect which ensuring the smooth running of their business and
conducting all the possible practices in order to hire the the deserving candidate and skilled staff

so that they can achieve the business goal in an appropriate manner. It also ensure the positive
working environment so that the employees feel influenced and motivated towards their given
job role. They also concerned with the effective utilisation of the people by conducting training
and development session so that they can get effectiveness in various operations. There are
certain ways by which British Airways can create the value in the company and they are as
follows:
Effective selection and retention: HR manager is concerned for choosing the right
candidate by analysing their skills and abilities and taking selection test that help in
understanding the verbal and nonverbal behaviour of the individual. This helps in
establishing good working environment and there will be more chances of employee
retention and context to British Airways, they are developing employment power by
creating good working culture at the workplace. By which the company can stablish good
brand image in the market and they can attract the large pool of their potential customers.
Performance appraisal: it is the aspect which is related to the evaluation of employee
performance and measuring their work progress that whether they are reaching to the set
of objectives or not. When the performance of the employee can be identified then this
helps in getting the high performance working that are giving their best by using skills
and giving innovative ideas at the workplace. Human resource manager make the
performance appraisal of the employees on the basis of their working and recording to
them they provide deserving bonus or salary to the individual with regards to their
efforts. In context to British Airways, evaluation of performance appraisal help them to
increase the productivity and profitability of the company by motivating their potential
candidate. This also helps in getting the right candidate who can perform their job role in
the set defined manner with the considertion of attaining the business goal.
Providing fair compensation and rewards- human resource manager is concerned with
providing deserving compensation and rewards for the employee on the basis of their job
performance. It will help the employee to achieve the business goal and then the HR
manager promote their employees on the basis of their performance. In context to British
Airways, they are increasing the moral of the individual by providing various rewards
and fair compensation for their better performance so that they can contribute in
