1. Introduction
The notable determination of this report is to focus on the organization of an
international event which is going to be held across different cities of India like Lucknow,
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. Six diverse categories of stadiums
will be deployed in this international event, at the same time it can also be said each of the
diverse categories of stakeholders along with their assumptions must be considered in the
first place so that the chances of the success rate of this international sports event. The report
will be very much significant in order to understand the importance which has to be given to
the expectation of the customers of this event. The impact of enacting Lean project
management in this international sports event will be evaluated in a detailed manner in this
report. The incorporation of agile practices in this sports event will also be discussed in this
report along with the enactment of lean six sigma DMAIC methodology. Thus, this report
which will be presented from the perspective of a project manager, will be very much
significant in order to manage all the critical aspects of this projects in terms of managing the
critical stakeholders of this event like the organisers and the international cricket fans who
will be visiting India during this global event.
Each of the activities of this sporting event will be considered in this project like the
management of the resources, time and schedule of each of the activities from the opening
ceremony of the project to the closing ceremony of this project. Unlike the previous versions
of the cricket world cup, this upcoming event will feature 10 international teams and the
entire event will be held in a league format, as a result, the duration of the event will be much
longer than the previous world cup editions.
2. Usage of processes for effective stakeholder management
This project will have diverse categories of process starting from the initial stage of
the project to the closure phase of the project. All these diverse categories of process are
needed to be managed in an organized manner using diverse categories of project
methodologies. PMBOK can be very much beneficial to get familiarised with each of the
phases of this project. The deployment of PMBOK in each of the phases of this project will
be very much significant for the successful completion of this project. Transparency of the
work schedule of each of the internal and external stakeholders of this project will be
maintained after the enactment of PMBOK. The project manager of this project will also be

significantly benefitted if the concepts of PMBOK is professional deployed in this project.
The best practices for the project managers can also be identified in the first place using
PMBOK. Project guidelines in terms of maintaining of disciplines and project scope can be
the other significant contribution of the enactment of PMBOK.
There are diverse categories of processes which can be deployed in this project in
order to manage each of the stakeholders of this project. Each of the processes considers the
agreement between each of the stakeholders of this project in order to avoid any sort of
conflicts which might occur in any stage of the project. Consensus is a huge aspect of this
project which can be very much beneficial to make any sort of changes which might be
required in this project. The mission and vision of this project must also be clear among each
of the critical stakeholders of this project. The practise of stakeholder management is the
other essential modus to improve the engagement of each of the stakeholders of this
international project.
3. Critical stakeholders of the event
There are diverse categories of stakeholders which are associated with this
international sports event. These stakeholders can be divided into two broad categories like
internal and external stakeholder.
Internal stakeholders: The internal entities of this sports event are the internal
stakeholders of this event. There are diverse categories of internal stakeholders which are
deployed in this internal project like the project organizer, project manager, risk manager,
operational manager, workforces of the project, strategic planners, and local volunteers, diver
categories of in-house community partners, diverse business units, and subject matter experts.
External Stakeholders: The external entities of the event are the external
stakeholders of this event. There are diverse categories of the external stakeholders associated
with this event in terms of the international team who are going to visit India during this
event. The other essential stakeholders of this event include cricket fans from the

like accommodation facilities and shopping facilities to the visitors of this sports event. The

project along with the creditors of this international event is the other significant external

Most of the in-depth process of this international event can be managed using the
opinion of the customers of this project like international cricket along with the team
associated with each of the teams. The expectation of the consumers has to be identified in

the expectations of the consumers from this sports event. Preference and perceptions of the
customers must be understood by the organizers of this event so that the expectation of the

The report is very much useful to u understand the processes which are involved in
