Topic 1: Trump's public diplomacy and how he has politicized trade policy through his
social media
Background: Pointing the economic problems that existed when Trump had assumed office
needs to be highlighted for readdressing the research question.
Research Questions:
 What has been the reasons behind the protectionist trade policy of Trump?
 How shall Trump make ‘America Great Again’ through economic means?
 What has been the role of the tech giants such as Amazon, Microsoft and Google to help
Trump realize his dream?
(The recent trade war between United States of America and China with specific reference to the
Huawei issue, which was supposedly done in order to save the market of Apple. The issue of
Trump wanting to buy Greenland).
Literature review: The literary sources regarding the political agenda and economic system of
the state has to be stated along with existence of techno-social impact on the environment.
Theoretical framework: Mor’s Self Presentation Theory must be related to the Theory of
Realism and relating the issue to win-win situation or Zero Sum Game. Relating these theories to
the issues discussed in the portion of analysis can address the research outcomes and its
significance. Self-Presentation theory should be used to show how President Trump wants to
project and present himself to the world and to the nation at large.
Methodology: The qualitative methodology using literature review is the ideal method to
analyze the paper based on qualitative approach and sources collected from secondary database.
Analysis: The analysis consider the research question and relates the literary source and findings
to adjudge if Trump had been successful in his goal.

Recommendation & Conclusion: The summation of the main ideas and establishing the
relations between the research questions precisely is required where there are some points to be
deduced because of the research conducted and analyzed.
Topic 2 - Comparative Analysis of EU trade policy before and after Trump
Background: The introductory phase of the paper is to highlight the situation of trade between
USA and EU before Trump.
Research Questions:
 Why Trade Policy between UK when Brexit is a burning issue?
 What is the Nuclear Deal with Iran and EU?
 What is the reaction of Trump to Chinese investment in railways in Eastern
Europe?
 What is the reaction of Trump to Germany importing energy from Russia?
 What is the reaction of EU to Trump seeking to buy Greenland?
Literature review: The literary sources regarding the political agenda and economic system of
the world has to be stated along with existence of economic impact on the mentioned states
issues.
Theoretical framework: The theory of Realism and Liberalism both should be addressed and
related to the issue of trade (before and after) Trump assuming the office as President.
Methodology: The qualitative methodology using literature review is the ideal method to
analyze the paper based on qualitative approach and sources collected from secondary database.

Analysis: Analysis has to relate the research questions with each other to find the areas of
cooperation and conflict in the field of trade between USA and EU in the Trump and pre-Trump
Era. It reflects whether Trump has increased cooperation in trade or has reduced cooperation in
trade with EU.
Recommendation & Conclusion: The analysis has to reflect concluding statements whether or
not Trump has been able to increase cooperation in trade or has reduced cooperation in trade
with EU and recommending facts related as outcome of the research.
