INTRODUCTION
The concept of the ideological opportunities tends to provide one of the most fertile and
successful grounds for the innovation within a specific sector. There is an ideological
opportunity seen within the food industry comprises of use of internet and other digital
platforms. A long restaurant waiting and being in long queue for turn at grocery store are quite
commonly seen within the food industry (Du, 2021). Thus, a rapid ideology opportunity has been
seen within the food sector based on mobile app and improved use of technology to get online
nutrition facts and delivery of products at just one finger tip.

seen and analysed that the food industry has started experiencing a shift over the digital space
from search engines to a more personalised driven consumable food industry comprises of
eminent food bloggers and media house. Thus, an analysis can be made technology upgradation
and coming up with mobile marketing and digital app are presenting an effective ideologically
opportunity within the food sector to attract and cater larger number of customers who want to
get rid of long waiting ques. Therefore, making investment in developing new and improved
mobile app and digital platforms that supports better and more effective contactless ordering,
payments and pickup processes are likely to stick around food sector as ideological opportunity
(Li, 2021).
Further, with respect to the information provided by MIKE GERAGHTY, 2021, it has been
seen that the food retailers and entire food and beverage sector has needed to be operate in a
different way due to the pandemic of covid-19. Thus, many new controls and check has been
applied to food industry and no gathering and physical presence has been allowed which tend to
have an immense shift within the supply chain and delivery process of the food sector. Further,
the global pandemic of Covid-19 has created new habit of not going to anywhere and thus,
consumers are now more relying on the grocery retailers and restaurants to ensure regular
supplier of a healthy food products (Soukup, McCleskey and Holloway, 2021). Thus, a high
ideological opportunity is being seen within the food sector to have a crisis spark of innovation
based on technological upgradation enabling a contactless ordering, payments and pickup
process during the prevailing conditions of Covid-19.
