study on Hotel Sheldon.
INTRODUCTION
Business are need to manager so that enterprise is able to generate high volume of
profitability. This is helpful in order to have systematic information so firm is able to expand
units and work effectively. With the help of technology timely information can be provided to
customers. By having improvement in quality services they are able to attract customer in
market. The present assignment is focussing over business activities as Hotel Sheldon. Due to
this there is need to have reduction in the cost, time and quality. In addition to this, project
management plan, Gantt charts all are need to be constructed. Implication of digital technology
will be helpful in order to have enhancement in profitability of enterprise (Rangone and Paolone,
2018). The best technological implementation in Sheldon are need to bring so that customer will
attract to services providing to them.
P1 Description on background, aims and objectives.
Background- The main objective of any firm is to gain maximum amount of
profitability. Supportive employees will always bring prosperity to enterprise. It is essential to
understand the requirement of customers so that firm is able to take initiatives towards it. In this
way, technology is assistive in order to provide high quality services. To carry out the present
research there will be use of better quality of resources to customers. Implication of digital
technology over the Sheldon hotel is need to be considered ( Minelli and Ruffini, 2018). In order
to carry out the systematic way for completion of research there are aims and objectives are need
to be considered as follows-
Aims- To study the effect of digital technologies on business activity. A study on hotel Sheldon

P2 Produce project management plan.
This is need to be drawn in order to carry out present research, this is defined in
following manner as are-
1. Scope of study- It is based on activities with the help of which technological operation
can be done systematically. It will be helpful in order to access the improvement
measure which are need to be taken (Kaur and Lodhia, 2018). The expected duration of
this research will be taken as 3 months. With the help of this implication the researcher
will able to have systematic information. By suing this there can be enhancement ion
growth and innovation procedure of firms.
2. Cost- It is helpful in order to draw impressive management plan. This is need to be
conducted effectively. By using effective budget plan there must be use of technological
advancement. Thu, it can be said there must be have the use of effective process as
investigation, survey etc. In this way, resources is need to be identified with the help of
which better decision can be framed. In addition to this, it must be said that cost is one of
significant factor in order to construct project management plan.
3. Time- It is assistive in order to construct the project management plan as per the deadline
in order to accomplish task in effective mode. In order to have good result there is need to
have the use of those things which will bring systematic results (Brunt and et.al., 2018).

In order to conduct the present research and its impact over digital technology, the
following research methods are need to used as are-
Research methodologies- This will be covered the following things as are-
Research philosophy- It is consists of belief that there is need to collect and analysis of
data. This is concerned with source of knowledge. Thus, it can be said this is divided into four
manner as are- positivism, realism, pragmatism and interpretuvism. In order to determine the
impact of technology it is essential to used the combination of philosophies as are positivism and
interpretuvism. This is need to be done in order to gain factual description. Furthermore,
positivism is dependent on the role of research in order to collect and interpret the data. It is
based on observation which is quantifiable (Nelson-Nuñez and Cartwright, 2018). This is
assistive in order to determine the implication of digital technologies on business activities of
Sheldon. Interpretivism is need to be used in order to interpreting the elements of study.
Research approach- This is helpful in order to encompass the plan for procedure which
is need to be undertaken in order to carrying out study. In this way, there are two kinds of
approaches as are deductive and inductive. Deductive approach works as to takes the ways from
specific to general. On the other hand, inductive approach work is to move to more specific

observation. In order to carry out the present research the inductive research methodologies is
need to be used (Curtis and Kelly, 2018). Thus, it can be said that specific observation is helpful
in order to detecting the patterns and regularities. In this way, generalized conclusion is need to
be determined.
Research design- It provides the information about how the strategy is need adopted as
per the differed components of study. In this way, research methodologies are of many types as
are exploratory, descriptive, explanatory etc. In order to conducting the present research and
identify the implication of digital technology there is need to have the use of descriptive research
design. It is assistive In order to have better description in order to attaining the aim of study.
With the help of this researcher could able understand the implication of digital technologies.
Data collection- It is concerned with appropriate methods in order to gather the necessary
information. There are two kinds of data collection method as are primary and secondary. In
order to carry out the present study identification of digital technologies is need to be made with
the help of both primary and secondary data ( Wijaya and et.al., 2018.). Primary data is useful in
order to carried out first hand information. There are differed methods of collecting data. They
are focussing over surveys, observation, groups etc. In order to carry out present research,
questionnaire method will be used.
Sampling- under this there are two kinds of techniques of sampling. This as are
probabilistic and non- probabilistic. It is useful in order to provide equal chance to each
population. In this way, sampling of 20 employees will be carried out.
Data analysis- The term data analysis involving of coding, cleaning and transforming of
data. These as are namely qualitative and quantitative.
Quantitative analysis of data deal with method in order to carry out the better interpretation of
situation as well individual. It works as to provide detailed insights about the particular
phenomenon.
Quantitative data is helpful in order to have the use of statistical tools and techniques for
analysing the data. In order to carry out the present study there must be use of recording and
examining the recording patterns in collected data. In order to carry out implication of digital
technologies there will be use of qualitative technique. Themes are need to framed in better
describing phenomenon ( Wijaya and et.al., 2018.).

information is need to be maintained. In order address the issue, researcher need to adopt the
proper storage of data.

P7 Reflect on the value of undertaking the research to meet stated objectives and own learning
and performance
The project goals and objectives were effectively achieved. I worked effectively with my
team members and performed my task. The project planing was done according to goals and
resources. Every step of project was analysed and then task was allocated to members. Each
member was given task according to his skills and abilities. I have to ensure that planning is
properly done so that project can go in smooth way. I created aims and objectives of each person.
The goals and objectives that I achieved was related to conducting research with qualitative
method. In this I collected qualitative data. Also, I performed my task with given resources.
provided me a clear view on how project can be broken into steps. I was also given task in which
I have to perform some specific duties and roles. I performed that effectively so that I can
achieve my goals in given time period. I did this by evaluating time required for each task and
then planning on how I can complete it. This benefited me in deciding in advance on what next
step will be. Besides this, the research methods that I used was very beneficial and useful. It
helped me in providing accurate data and information. Through this I was able to take further
step in research project. Also, I method used by me was very successful. It provided me valid
data that was useful for me. This improved my performance as I was able to complete task before
time frame. My findings was useful to other members. It helped them in completing their goals.
The overall performance of mine was good. This reflects that I need to improve it for my career
advancement. I also think that I need to learn about various subjects relating to project
management and research methods. It will be easy for me to work in this field.
The results which I obtained from research was useful. It helped me to learn something
new about project management. I got to know how planning is done and what methods are
applied in particular situation. Also, I gained some skills and knowledge about project
management. But in achieving my aims I faced certain difficulties that affected my performance.
It was due to lack of experience. As I was not having experience it was difficult for me to
analyse data that I have collected. I was not able to figure it out which research method will be
used and where. I tried my level best in this but it put created a dilemma for me. Along with this,
due to lack of communication with team members I was not able to complete task in proper time.
It was due to poor bonding between me and my team members. This resulted in directly affected
my working and efficiency. I was not expecting this from them. It created a lot of problem for

me as no one was giving feedback. Apart from this I was not able to make schedule for further
step. This created problem for me and increase workload. It affected by research and data
analysis. I worked in critical situations to conduct research. This consumed a lot of time.
Therefore, I need more experience in this to enhance my performance. Also, I need to make
strong relations with my colleagues for effective working. In this way I can improve my
efficiency and productivity.

It is very important to use project management process in order to complete a project.
The project planing was done according to goals and resources. It consists of step by step method
through which entire project can be completed. If manager does not use this process then it
becomes difficult to complete overall project. I think that process is very useful in project. It
helps in ensuring that each step is performed. Also, I evaluated that every step has its own
benefits. I collected data of effective quality. Here, quality refers to facts and figures of
secondary research. It helped me to complete my task on time. Moreover, I think that if data is
not of proper quality then it will affect my objectives. This will result in decreasing quality of
project.
