1. Selection of proper project management process
The project aims to design and construct a dream home in Perth, Western Australia. In
order to commence this project the owner needs to come across through keystart initiatives
prepared by the government of Western Australia. Once the Western Australian government will
approve the eligibility application submitted, the owner will be able to initiate the project in the
selected suburb. It is acknowledged that, a project cannot be successfully implemented if suitable
project management process is followed throughout the project development life cycle period
(Meredith, Mantel & Shafer, 2017). Many project management processes are available and based
on project activities and nature the most suitable management process is desired to be selected
and applied throughout the development of the “dream home project”. The selected suburb, land
size, builder and stakeholder for the project are illustrated below.
a. Choosing a suburb
For design and execution of the “Dream Home Project”, the selected location in Perth,
Australia is Ashfield. The mentioned riverside suburb is located approximately 8 kilometer away
from the CBD (Central Business District), Perth. The location was a collection of railway houses
though afterward it became a hot spot. The house prices in this location are affordable. From
different survey and analysis it is identified that, median house price in this location is
approximately $450,000. 65 percent nearby education facilities are available in this location and
also almost cent percent of the residents have recreational area.
b. Deciding the land size to buy
These days the construction industry of Ashfield, Perth is getting high commercial
success due to affordable price of the lands. In order to construct the “new dream home project”,

the land size that has been purchased is 1.2 Acre. The price of 1.2 Acre land Ashfield, Perth is
$650,000.
c. Choosing the best builder
It is found that the numbers of builders are comparatively lesser than other suburb
location Perth. For this construction project, registered building contractors and practitioner or
building service provider who is contracted named “3b Build Pty Ltd” of West Perth. It is one of
the most well known real estate builder and construction companies in West Perth.
d. Identification of project stakeholders
The stakeholders for the “dream home construction project” are divided into internal
stakeholders and external stakeholders. It is duty of the supervisor to monitor and manage the
stakeholders to keep them informed and satisfied (Binder, 2016). The lists of stakeholders for
this project are elaborated in the below:
