Introduction
The report below provides an overview of Arup which was established by Sir Ove Arup in 1946.
including the roles and responsibility of its stakeholders. The ethics and moral are defined in

detail together with providing the specific commitments made by the the organization in lieu of
ethical consideration. After which the importance of leadership and ethics is provided. A brief
discussion is given on the professional bodies which regulate certain professions and their impact
on that profession of having to follow a code of conduct. The positive influence which the
professional body has on the organization which employs those professional and lastly how the
code of conduct is incorporated within the enterprise are discussed.
An overview of the organization, the type of business and the area(s) in which it operates
including the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders.
Arup is a firm based in the United Kingdom. The founder of the organization was Sir ove Arup
who founded the company in 1946. It provides designs, engineering solution, architecture for the
infrastructural needs of the business in manner which is sustainable, the firm operates in more
than 35 countries across the globe. The leadership is chosen from within the company based on
the recommendations of the Trust which oversees the process.
The moral and ethical responsibility of the organization:
Business ethics are the duties of an enterprise toward its workers, clients shareholders and to
society in general which are based on morality. Ethics could be regarded as the basis of the most
important commodity trust among the enterprise with their cardinal stakeholders. Business ethics
are the values, regulation and morals which are adopted by an enterprise for establishing trust
with their end users and workers. (Ahmad, 2020)It could be said to be the regulations which
help in distinguishing good practices from bad ones. The Ethics of a business are intrinsically
linked to the culture of the business. The clients reward the companies for their ethical practices
with their loyalty. Which is why it assumes a significant part in driving expansion and longevity
of the business.(Wernaart, 2021) Here are the rules every businesses values:
Integrity: It could be said to be the act of fixing one's own accountability, having the grit
to do choose the right thing which may not always be beneficial to oneself. Having
integrity means putting the well being of the society as a whole first rather than the
revenue generation.

Honesty: the people who hold a stake in the business possess the primary right to know
whether the business is dependable or not. In order to inculcate trust the businesses adopt
transparent practices and own up to their actions. They provide truthful information to the
consumers and shareholders about the state of products and business.
Privacy: the businesses while receiving the confidential information from the customers
or clients need to handle such information with due care in order to maintain the trust of
the clients. The managers of the business who have information pertaining to the
employees need to keep that information private unless it brings harm to society. (Koehn,
2021)
Empathy: The businesses need to be compassionate toward the society as a whole which
entails empathizing with the people and helping those people that require it. The
businesses with a sense of empathy are thoughtful of their actions towards workers and
the society at large. It can also be considered that the businesses that have empathy also
have integrity, as they put their individual needs behind the needs of the organization or
society.
Faithfulness:when certain promises are made the quality of faithfulness makes that
promise turn into reality. Being part of an enterprise demands striving for superior
commodities and services to deliver to the end user. The people working at these
enterprises are expected to evolve their abilities to be able to remain committed to deliver
on the goals of the enterprise.(McMahon, 2021)

individuals registered with it. This code of ethics influences the behavior of employees in a
positive way since they know if they contravene these ethics not only they are answerable to the
management of Arup, but to also the council will need to be answers for breaking the code of
conduct. The membership could be revoked if a person contravenes the ethics guidelines set out
