“Importance of strategies to retain employees for long time”
Introduction
There is a essential need of talent management practises that is required by the
individuals and the organisation both. As talent management helps the organisation in
development of the individual and enhancing employees productivity and profitability. Their are
various talent management strategies which are being used in the firm like rewards and
appreciation and training and development etc. the organisation selected in this report is Asda.
This report includes research aims, objectives and findings etc.
Aim and objectives
“To determine the importance of the strategies used in the organisation to retain and
develop their employees for long time.” A study on Asda.
Objectives
To determine the several strategies used by Asda for retaining and management of
employees at the workplace.
To analyse various benefits of talent management in improving of the employees
effectiveness and their motivation.
To examine the challenges faced at the time of implementing organisation talents
management strategies and practises in the organisation.
Project management plan
Project management plan is the plan which is being used by the researcher in order to
show the completion of the project. This includes various activities which helps in successful
completion of the project. This project is initiated with the project aims and objectives and this
further it includes execution stage which is helps in targeting all the activities mentioned in WBS
and this helps the project to be completed on a given time period. In this there is a use of Gantt
chart and WBS which helps the researcher in effective use of activities on a given period of time.
Work breakdown structure

WBS is the process of completion of the project which helps the researcher in using of
various complex steps. It helps them in dividing of the activities in various steps in order achieve
their aims and objectives on a definite time period.
Gantt chart
This is called as the bar chart that is providing the actual task of the schedule and
showing the working of the activities according to the changes and which makes a growth and
milestones fro the scheduling of the project in the simple structure on the bar and graph chart.
Primary and secondary research
There are two methods used in this research. These are primary and secondary source.
The primary source of information is collected through questionnaire survey which is filled by
the employees of Asda. Then secondary information is collected through literature review. The
sample size taken in this is 30 members of Asda who are filling the survey form.
Literature review
In context with Asda, they are making use of various talent management strategies such
as training and development programmes and performance management programmes. These
talent management strategies helps the organisation in increasing the efficiency of employees
and providing them growth opportunities as well. There are certain importance of talent
management strategies used in the organisation like employees development, engagement and
enhancing productivity and motivation and retaining them for long time etc. some of the
challenges which could be faced by Asda organisation is lack of communication which could
results in decreasing employees motivation.
