INTRODUCTIONThis assignment is based upon the evaluation of myself and my basic career aspiration. Itwill enable to understand the basic requirements in my proposed sector 1. There will be a briefevaluation of the ways by which my C.V, interview techniques and linked In profile can be ofgreat use in terms of achieving success in my chosen organisation. Know yourself There are various theories with the help of which an individual can develop and advancehis/her objective of career. Among all available theories, the best one is Trait and Factor theory.This theory holds the idea where a person's abilities must be suited with their job profile. Aperson can perform the best when they are working in such job profile which suits with theirskills and abilities. I can use this given theory in order to understand the requirements of anindividual's job. Another theory is Krumboltz's approach. This basically deals with the idea where anindividual's career development may get affected by the environmental conditions. This conceptmainly relies on social learning theory and classical behaviourism. I consider this theory becauseit will be helpful in building up my career in my preferred area of interest. There are four factorsthat are helpful in the development of career. Genetic endowment, environmental conditions,learning experiences and task approach skills. Genetic endowment includes race, disabilities,sex and talents. Environmental conditions might include job opportunities, nature of trainingopportunities and social policies (labour laws, technological development, union rules). Learningexperiences are made up of instrumental, associative and vicarious. At last, task approach skillswill include standards, mental sets and working habits. I want to make my career in tour management. It is important to choose a career in whichfuture development can be seen and also, it should match with my skills and abilities.
