is to design a well organise plan and resources which can provided them more effective
outcomes. It also help in developing capable team, groups which can assist in reaching Tesco plc
vision and mission in more effective and efficient manner. It is the responsibility of managers to
use its best effort for framing a team which is capable for handling task in more appropriate
manner. This results in getting more effective advantages from their efforts. Human resource
management is responsible for managing and directing various direction to employees in order to
attain there goals. An organisation can make use of various plan and strategies or methods for
measuring performance of there employees so that less chance of mistakes can be occurs.
There are various approaches of performance management which an use in an
organisation in order to make more effective outcomes. Some of them are discussed as follows:
Comparative approach: This particular approaches need rater to compare single
performance to that of the others. It is mostly uses few of the assessment of individuals ability to
perform or worth and seeks to create some ranking system in the group as well as workers.
Under this approaches various types of methods such as ranking, forced distribution and paired
comparison (Brown and Harvey, 2011). This plan is important for lager scale organisation and

teamwork, creativity, problems solving capability etc. Limitation of this approach is that
performance cannot be determine on the basis of judgements.
Behavioural approaches: It is very traditional approach of performance measurements.
It consists of analyses and determining workers attitude and behaviour of the basis of
performance level. It determine actual performance of employers that they posses at their work
place.
Results approach: It is known as one of the simplest approach of measurement to detect
workers after completion of their work. In this, balance scorecard is used to determine overall
performance of an organisation and team at the workplace.
Quality approach: It is related with customer satisfaction by overcoming its barriers and
attain targets of the company (Bolman and Deal, 2017). This particulars approach is used to
target on both persons and group factors. The necessary importance of this method is related with
