Organisational effectiveness and efficiency are highly significant for British American
Tobacco for enhancing its performance. Various measurement, monitoring and appraisal
techniques can be employed in the organisation for improving its human resources and
operations.
management by objectives is a productive method to manage the business where the objectives
are compared against the performance outcomes of the human resources and performance
appraisal is given accordingly (Triguero Sánchez, Peña Vinces and Guillen, 2018). Other
strategies can be employee engagement activities, feedback mechanisms, motivational activities.
For improving the quality of the work, techniques like lean management, total quality
management, six-sigma, just-in-time, and Kaizen can be implemented by the top management in
the organisation (Roopnarain, Dewa and Ramdass, 2019). 360-degree feedback strategy is the
best strategy that can support British Association Tobacco (BAT) to maintain wellbeing of
individuals and improves effectiveness of implemented strategies in the effective manner. With
the support of this strategy, Mr Jack can enable to gather reviews of employees over the
implemented strategies and their problems while maintaining dignity and respects that leads
satisfaction in them for the job. So, organization should implement this strategy on its retail
business (Soni and Soni, 2016).
