communication between the organisation can be defined as managing downward
communication, horizontal communication as well as upward communication. The
downward communication is associated with passing of information from superiors to the
subordinates. similarly, upward communication flow is opposite which is the flow of
information from the subordinate to the superior. Horizontal communication is termed as the
way of communicating among same level of the company. All these type of communication
is required in order to manage an effective way of communicating and maintaining the flow
of business activities in proper manner.
According to the viewpoint of.
Logan, and Michael Malone, ( 2018), Communication is a key factor within organisation that
is helpful in development of effective plans in order to achieve assigned targets and goals
properly. There are various factors on which communication is dependent upon which
includes psychological, language as well as physical barrier. These three are hurdles among
the communication within business. Psychological barrier is associated with state of the
receiver by hearing the information from the sender. There may be some information which
is provided to the subordinates by manager that can affect his or her mental state. Hence, it is
duty of the manager to use polite manner while communicating with subordinates and
motivate them to work effectively within the company. Language barrier is defined as the
association with language and the abilities for managing the communication among superiors
and managers effectively. The physical barrier is consisting of geographic distance between
receiver and sender. The author has described that it is very important to have less distance
among the sender and receiver in order to have effective management of the business
functions. It is said that longer the distance, more will be the ineffectiveness of information
transfer.
As per the views of. Mortensen,( 2017), This is concluded that communication barrier has to
be managed properly within companies in order to have proper functioning of all business
activities. there are three types of waste that can be used by the management in order to have
good communication. This includes active listening, using simple language and having
feedback from subordinates. Communication is very important within the management as it is
helpful in in achieving the assigned targets in proper manner. Listening power of
subordinates must be enhanced so that they focus upon the messages and instructions given
by managers properly. In this way, there will be listening to the instructions given by
managers and working effectively. Another way for overcoming the communication barrier is
using simple language while communicating with the receiver. When managers are
expressing their views on any topic they must use effective language and simple language
which is understood by all subordinates. This will help in managing the organisational goals
way of communicating among same level of the company. All these type of communication
is required in order to manage an effective way of communicating and maintaining the flow
of business activities in proper manner.
