An enterprise system is application software which is used in business
organization to raise performance through use of systems (White, 2014). The purpose of
this paper is to explore some of the software solutions offered by Infor. Infor is an
international software company with its capital in New York City in USA. This company
provides many software solutions to its clients. They develop a wide range of industry-
based business software. Their software solutions are easily workable with the existing
organization’s systems.
This paper is going to focus on only five of the many software solution offered
by this company. They include; Infor EAM Enterprise, Infor Learning Management,
Infor Supply Chain Planning, Infor Visual, and Infor CRM. A detailed examination of
these software slutions is considered in subsequent paragraphs.
Info CRM
This software aids the business to manage its relation with the customers
effectively. It is industry- tailored and is therefore available to a wide range of industries.
Organizations can opt to run the software in the organization with Microsoft SQL Server,
run a cloud hosted software or one hosted by Microsoft windows Server and IIS (Lawson
et al. 2017). Its availability in mobile application enables users to use it even when not in
office. CRM has several functionalities that improve the user experience.
Sales pipeline are easily managed from wherever someone is through the help of
a mobile phone. CRM forms a platform through which customer related issues are
resolved immediately they occur. Its availability in several languages makes it accessible
to many users.

Infor VISUAL aids manufacturing company in producing high quality product in
the appropriate time thus enabling them to cope with stiff competition in the market.
VISUAL facilitates quality control through enforcement of quality control procedures
throughout the product life cycle (Mubeen, Lawson, Lundbäck, Gålnander, & Lundbäck,
2017). Another notable ability of this software is to enable the organization to make
deliveries to the customer when required. This is made possible through the use of cost
performance solution and scheduler. This software is made within the organization by

Microsoft Windows in collaboration with 10x tech. several companies such as Oracle
SQLServer help in managing the database of VISUAL. To facilitate availability,
VISUAL is developed in several languages.
Infor EAM Enterprise
This is an enterprise asset management solution. Its main use is to ensure that the
assets of an organization are protected and used in an efficient way. EAM is prepared to
fit in different industries thus making it to be flexible. With this solution, an organization
can significantly cut the cost incurred in procurement and storage of goods.
Organizations that make good use of this software often find it easy to manage their
budget, purchases, inspection, work, asset hierarchy, and material management (Cobb,
Elliott, Garrity III, Boccasam, & Matteson, 2014).
This software has the ability of analyzing data about assets. This data help in
predicting future performance of assets. It also helps the organization to know when to
replace and dispose an asset. With this software solution, an organization is able to
monitor and manage all asset purchases. An organization is also able to take care and use
the asset efficiently. EAM has a track record of quality services provided to its customers
for a long period of time. Many organizations have improved their profitability by

Infor Learning Management system (LMS)
LMS is a cloud- based software solution that provides employees an opportunity
to learn within the organization and outside classroom or formal setting. It imparts users
with knowledge that improves their service delivery (Taylor et al. 2015). LMS
availability in all mobile platforms and in several languages increases accessibility to a
large number of people. The knowledge shared in the platform is the same globally. This
ensures that professional in the same field get a common knowledge thus increasing

convenience.

2016). This will facilitate in planning of future demand. The system is in a position of
identifying the optimal amount of stock to be maintained. With this feature in place, both
stock outs and over stocks are prevented.

software solution to their customers. Delivery and deployment of these systems is made
easy through cloud technology. This solutions are easy to manage and can be accessed
from any location even away from the business (Kursar, 2018). Majority of these
solutions are available through mobile platforms.
With increased competition in the business environment, organizations that take
advantage of the available technology are in a better position of surviving. On the other

can cope with the ever changing customers’ needs.
