INTRODUCTION
The international HRM is known as set of activities which are involved in the functioning
of human resource department at international level. There is need for companies to manage the
organisational goals and targets by working in foreign markets and managing employees. IHRM
involves different functions such as selection, recruitment, training, performance appraisal, etc.
the concept of IHRM is related to the managing and handling of human resource in different
multinational companies (Armstrong, and Taylor, 2020). IHRM has a purpose for increasing
competitive advantage of employees within business environment. This consists of managing the
skills and abilities of employees, training of employees, performance appraisal, etc. The
company which is considered for analysing the functioning of IHRM is Mediclinic city hospital.
This hospital started in the year 2008. This is a multi disciplinary hospital situated in Dubai. This
hospital accommodate patients who require health facilities. This file describes the HRM
practices within company. Also, leadership styles are discussed in context of this hospital. In the
third task, there is explanation of a telecommunication company of UAE which provides services
in Egypt.

Discuss HRM practices in your organization
Human resource functions and management are important for a company as it is helpful
in enhancing employee satisfaction. There is need for managing all the activities of company
effectively so that various transactional activities are outsourced properly. HRM practices are
involved in implementation of HR strategy and conducting the business activities
properly(Armstrong, 2019). There are few best practices which are defined as HR systems
which have great impact on the organisation and workforce. In context of Mediclinic city
hospital, there are few transactional functions like record keeping, administration, payroll
processing and employee benefit. Some of the best HR practices of Mediclinic city hospital of
Dubai are mentioned below - Recruitment and selection - The recruitment and selection strategy depends upon
mission of the company. Also, the work culture affects HR recruitment and selection
policies. When the senior executives of company are identifying value of workplace
diversity recruitment practice that is made for attracting lot of potential candidates who

can manage to work in the company. In context of Mediclinic city hospital, it is seen that
the human resource management has adopted advanced techniques of recruiting doctors
and nursing staff so that this hospital will provide effective service to all people. Training and development – These are most important factors of human resource
management. Different elements involved in this are new employee orientation, job skills
training, leadership training and professional development. Such type of activities are
helpful for improving job skills of employees who are working in the current positions
and experting in cross functional work management. Professional development is helpful
in supporting succession planning of organisation (Bailey, and et.al., 2018). This is done
by preparing future leaders for doing high level jobs.
Compensation and benefits - These are two important advantages that are provided to
the employees for motivating and encouraging the employees and staff. When operating
within a business environment, there are some factors which must be followed in order to
provide good environment to employees where they can work in effective manner. This is
regulation of government for providing health and other benefits to staff so that they will
work more effectively. There are different ways of providing compensation to the
employees and this helps in managing the overall performance of company effectively.

Training and development is known as an important phase of HR. there are few
employees who can become obsolete if they are not updating themselves with new ways of
working methods, knowledge and skills. In this way, whole organisation will become rustic and
thus, there is need of developing skills and abilities of employees. The training programs are
known as planned programs of organisation as well as business environment development
(Banfield, Kay, and Royles, 2018). The human resource personnel is responsible for providing
training and development practices so that organisational activities are done in rightful manner.
Training in Mediclinic city hospital helps staff for acquiring skills, knowledge and behaviour
which enables them to effectively perform their job role. Training is provided to staff on the
basis of their capabilities. These are technical or manual skills which is given to non technical
staff. On the other hand, special training is provided to medical professionals in order to update
