issue to the target audience and the expo activity. Submit your plan as one document per

1)What key health priority is being addressed by this expo?
Internet addiction has become the global problem, especially for Youths. There are several
key health priorities is being addressed by this expo, some of them are short-term such as
unfinished tasks, forgotten responsibilities and weight gain, anxiety. Another long-term
health priorities of internet addiction among youths includes backache, neck pain, vision
problem, carpel tunnel syndrome, (American Addiction Resource centre, online, 2018).
2)Who is the target audience?
Our target audience is Youth. The Young people are at the higher number of developing
problematic behaviours because of immaturity and lack of guidance, they spend more time
online to develop their identity to get famous, play online games.
3)Why is the health issue significant to this target audience? (some statistics on the
health issue in that age group e.g. tooth decay rates in under 5s, amount of time spent playing
“screen-based games” in teens, amount of activity in 5-10 age group)
According to our research, Youths are significant impacted from this Internet addiction
disorder (IAD), they are facing a broad range of changes in their bodies and their feelings
through the transition from childhood to adulthood. They often explore sexual identities and
identity of gender They may be exploring their identities in terms of their sexuality or gender
identity. In this period of their age, they easily attracted to new things either positive or
negative. They want to try new stuff and willing to get an either good relationship or name
and fame. They can easily have distracted from their track because of immaturity and lack of

guidance. Although growing up is an exciting experience for the youths, this phase offers a
rather challenging opportunity for engaging in risky behaviours, (CNBC, online, 2018).
Teens are more likely to being on social sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat,
WhatsApp, YouTube, as compare to others. They want to share their life-time moments with
everyone by posting memories online or sharing by messaging, and then their curiosity to
know about others lead them to stay online. Unprecedently, they become target of many
health issues occurred by IAD, (Young, 2004, pp 402-415).
4)What is the planned health promotion activity?
Spreading awareness by conducting seminars at universities or in local community
through adults being a living example for the youth.
Providing free services or treatment to some teens who cannot afford such as creating
time for learning skills management, setting of goals and personal inventory
development, counselling and support groups or family therapy
Giving pamphlets or relevant booklets to parents and children giving information
about effects, risks and hazards of internet usage (in preferred language to different
communities)
Promote more physical activity and sports
5) What key policies are informing the activity?
Online posting and commenting
The Youth Solution media need to adhere to set regulations and guidelines when using Youth
Solutions social media platform. Conforming policies and guidelines to be adhered to
include; all posts adhering to copyrights issue, fair use and disclosure guidelines and making
of slanderous references to the users of the platform. Using proper way of decorum when
raising concerns and making complaints regarding the use of the social media platform, being
polite, courteous and using appropriate language and finally considering positive morals and
beliefs.
Moderation
Youth led media solutions have the reservations rights on the use in social media platforms.
Posts which portray negative defamatory language or harm influence on public users ought to
be deleted as soon as possible. Further, posts which go against breach of data protection
guidelines, spams and links promotion to other sites and information advocating legal activity
needs to be monitored.
Privacy and confidentiality
There is need for ensuring privacy for personal information and posting reasonable on the
media platforms. Thus to safeguard personal data, advise posting personal details should be
discouraged. Disclosure of personal information can lead to invasion of privacy and leads to
location of the victim which might lead to victimization. Such practices cannot be entertained
in Youth media solutions, (DHHS Victoria state Government, online 2018).
