INTRODUCTION
Management is the process of getting people work for achieving the goals of the
organisation. It is helping the employees in coordinating the business of the organisation.
Management is helping the organisation in making the top level plans that will help them in
achieving success (Edelson, Senk and Stock, 2018). The employees are connected within the
management of the organisation. Management is the goal oriented process and is universal, it is
dynamic and multinational. The organisation are successful because they have good management
which is making them achieve the goals. The report includes Management structure and business
functions, the marketing function and its relation to business success, different management
functions and Talent Management and Organisational Culture.
TASK 1
Management structure and business functions
The organisational structure is the planned relationship between different function of the
organisation for achieving success.
Simple structure- The organisations are having the decisions taken from the top level to
lower level employees. The small size organisations is the perfect example of the simple
structure where they have small product line.
Advantage- The small organisations can have quick decisions and they will not be impacted by
the environmental factors.
Disadvantage- It does not allow the employees to make the decisions of the organisations.
Functional structure- The organisations are having different departments like marketing,
finance, HR and they will have less products and services (Hislop, Bosua and Helms,
2018).
Advantage- They are having division of labours and they will be specialized in performing in the
organisation.
Disadvantage- It is difficult to communicate with different departments of the organisation.
Divisional Structure- The large organisation which have the customers in the different
countries of the world are having divisional structure where the are making the plans for
the products, projects and the customers of different countries. They are having corporate
offices. For example, Tesco is having the corporate office in UK.
