INTRODUCTION
Leadership is based on the process which always influence people organizational success. it is helping
to increase efforts of others towards goal and achievement. A great leader always know how to motivate
or inspire better than anyone else. It is one of main function as possible for manager within
organization. Manager always attempt to analyse leadership tend to fail because of misconceives their
own tasks. The documentation will discuss about different leadership theories, approaches and also
identifying the characteristics, role of leader. Furthermore, it will describe that how developing
leadership skill which help for motivating other people in the organization.
Confidence: an effective leader has become confident towards their own
decision and ensure that other people follow the commands (Lemoine, Hartnell
and Leroy, 2019). Generally, it plays important role in enterprise to handle both
employee performance and efficiency in proper manner.
Commitment and Passion: It is also another important characteristic, when
always committed towards their business operation and function. It will help
leader to gain more respect of manager and establish the good relationship. An
effective leader always committed towards organizational goal and objective.
Good communicator: it is an essential characteristic in term of employee
engagement and exchange information. A good leader have effective
communication skill to interact with other staff member. In order to inspire or
motivate towards organizational objective.
CHARACTERISTICS OF LEADER
THEORIES OF LEADERSHIP
Born/trait leadership: this theory is mainly used to predict the effective leadership and generally
identified the characteristics, which compared to potential leaders and its current leading capabilities
(Shields and Hesbol, 2020). At workplace, Manager can use this leadership theory to identify the
suitable characteristics from different perspectives. In order to focus on the attributes of staff member in
term of education, qualification, background knowledge.
Behavioral leadership: In this theory, it is mainly focused on the specific behaviour, actions of leaders
rather than its current characteristics and traits (Shields and Hesbol, 2020). This theory has suggested
that effective leadership for learning new things. Furthermore, technical skills refer to leader’s
knowledge of process or method. It always support for running the business in smoothly. ROLES OF LEADERS
Provide vision: Leader can provide the specific vision for entire operational
team and also identifying their own opinion, thoughts and innovative idea . In
this way, each and every team member know the specific goal of practices.
Afterwards, it can be achieved the desirable organizational success.
Inspire or motivate: it is important aspects of leadership that mainly
influence or guide other participate who will have a common goal. Leader that
inspire to get specific feedback from individual person and ensure that each
one can improve own capabilities.
