Introduction
This particular assignment sheds light on overall management of an organization. The study of
this assignment includes the process of leading, planning, organizing and controlling resources
within an organization towards fulfilling business mission, vision and objectives. The objective
of this assignment is to assess critical success factors in strategic management for an
organization named Grace Foods UK. It will help them to improve their overall organizational
management. As human resource management and marketing management considered as the
pillars of organizational management, this assignment discusses what needs to be the key
functions of human resource management and marketing department of the organization towards
creating a sustainable organizational future. In addition, it also discusses the effectiveness of an
integrated organizational structure in terms of improving overall business operations of Grace
Foods UK.

Human Resource Management
Human resource management is regarded in order to manage human resources in an organization
towards accomplishing organizational goals and objectives. It aligns the performance of
individual employee with organizational performance. Thereby, it plays a major role in order to
develop business operation of an organization. Grace Foods UK is a growing organization across
the United Kingdom. The organization is looking for expanding their business more in order to
meet the increasing demand in the market. In order to fund their project of business expansion,
Grace Foods UK has engaged three shareholders in their business (Wilton, 2016).
In this situation to achieve business objectives, the organization requires to control the business
effectively. According to the case study, it is seen that the organization cannot perform
effectively. In order to develop their business position, the organization needs to focus on
controlling wastes in their business operation. Hence, the organization requires to improve their
functions of human resource management (HRM). Effective HRM in an organization is essential
to ensure the alignment of individual workforce with the overall organizational workforce. The
key functions of HRM are recruitment and selection, training and development, motivating
employees, managing employee relation and making effective decisions.
Recruitment and selection
It is one of the major responsibilities of HRM to engage the right people in the organization in
terms of representing workforce. Hence, recruitment and selection strategy of an organization
needs to be aligned with the job role of their employments. In order to select employees in their
organization, HRM needs to give preference to the people who have degree of hospitality
management. In addition, in order to conduct effective recruitment, HRM of the organization
requires to focus on preparing appropriate job description and person specification. It can recruit
people both internally and externally. Internal recruitment helps the HRM of the organization to
increase the competition between the employees. On the other hand, it helps the organization to
