1INVITRO FERTILIZATION
Invitro fertilization is one of the most important types falling in the category of
assisted reproduction. It is a method of stimulation of multiple ova for their development and
finally retrieving them from the woman. Invitro fertilization then involves fertilization of the
ova artificially with sperms and then reintroduction into the woman’s body for the attempt to
achieve an effective fertilization. The sperm and ova used in the IVF process can be donated
or come from the married couple. The significance of in-vitro fertilization is that it helps in
the treatment of infertility where the fallopian tubes is damaged, there is infertility of the
male of the male factor , the infertility is unexplained and where there is pre-implantation
diagnosis of genetic disorders. The genetics and IVF institute have been effective in helping
in the treatment of thousands of patients across the world through technologies like ART or
assisted reproductive technologies. The IVF program in this institute offers a grouped of
healthcare professionals providing quality care to the patients It is often a comprehensive
fertility center which helps in the provision of the fertility needs of the patients (Givf.com,
2019). Semen can be provided by either the partner or by an anonymous person, adding
flexibility to the process.. Success rate of invitro fertilization have been high where almost 6
out of 10 women can become a mother (eugin.co.uk, 2019).
According to me, although in-vitro fertilization is an effective method for
reproduction in sterile individuals, there are various risks in implementation the whole
process. There are multiple pregnancies in IVF where more than one embryos are put back
into the uterus. This increases the health risks to the patients and the baby and often
complications may occur in pregnancies (CREATE Fertility Natural IVF, 2019). Thus, I
think that there is an imminent danger of the process involved in the treatment. The chances
of ectopic pregnancy are higher in cases evolving invitro fertilization as it is almost of double
in IVF treatment. Thus it affects people especially with damaged fallopian tubes. High
