2IT INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT PG Task A1. AstraZeneca signed a $1.4 billion contract for seven years global strategic outsourcingagreement with IBM. This agreement contains SLA of 90 clauses and 32 schedules that governsthe provision of IT infrastructures in 60 countries. However, AstraZeneca broke the agreementdue to unable to grow with new technologies in the market. The company should not sign such along-term contract with any company as the market is always changing. The networkcommercial and supply chain operations have been decreasing in the market for the company.The outcome based specification have been one of the major reason for exit from the agreement.The business of the AstraZeneca was changing fast and the contract was restrict them for achange. 2. IBM should not offer such a seven year long global strategic outsourcing agreement withAstraZeneca. IBM does not have any implicit in the exit of the agreement. Therefore, IBM wasfacing the loss of money in his case. The use of the contract management has been done in thecase. The maintenance of contract management policy was not done by IBM. Therefore, therewas no penalty in the exit of the agreement. 3. Long-term outsourcing contracts are very difficult to change in the middle of the term. Thechange in the market demand have been changing the operations of the company in the market.Therefore, companies used to make deals for first two years and analyses the market trend.Therefore, companies used to make huge investments in these two years. The next years isrelated to the profit margins of the investment done in the last two years. This helps inmaintaining the profit if the company in all the years in the long-term contract.
3IT INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT PG 4. Both the companies including AstraZeneca and IBM have made same mistake of signing along-term contract f 1.4 billion dollars. The objective of the companies have been meoenyiningthe profit in their respective businesses. However bit the companies have missed out theconstraints included in the contract in case of exiting process. The technical problem involved inthe contract were nit noticed by the companies before signing the contract for seven years. 5. The service level agreement was a big failure as the constraints were not maintained properlyin the initiation of the deal. The first constraint was huge IT outsourcing deal. The contract wasfor seven years that is on time a company ti change its operations in the market. Therefore, thecompany has been changing their strategy in this seven years. The deal has been confined withthe specification that encourage the innovation within the vendors. Therefore, this SLA wasdoomed fail. 6. In 2011, after the failure of the IT contract with IBM, the company look for new contractswith other vendors of the IT. AstraZeneca helps in maintaining the technical problems that wereexisting n the previous contract with IBM. This model replaced the previous mode that was usedin the case of the IBM and various problems occur due to it. One of them is “fix first, pay later”.This specifically means that if type of problem occurs, the company and vendors can easily fix itby not asking about expenses. Hence, both the parties would be saved.7. AstraZeneca has been agreeing for faster payment of money in the case of the IT vendor. Anytype of conflict in the contract might led to pay the compensation money to the guilty party.Therefore, the policy of maintaining the terms and condition in the contract have been helpingfulfilling the terms and condition of the contracts.

In most of the cases it can be noticed that people tend to achieve lots ofbenefit from the concept of the social media. Some of the famous website which are related to the aspect of areFacebook, twitter and many more. The main focus point of the report is to take into consideration different aspects which are related to theaspect of the social media and how it would be impacting the life of the common people. The communication factorcan be stated as another factor which is of primary focus of the report. The long term goals which are related to thesocial media is also taken into considerationPrivacyThere are different types of privacy issue which are majorly faced within the concept of the social media.This is due to the factor that the customer’s personal data is stored in the concept of the most of the social mediasites. These type of information if it goes into the hand of another person it would be a big loss and it would beaffecting the user very much (Sunstein, 2018). The personal data in this context can be the name of the user, theirphone number. In most of time it is seen that hackers indulge into the activity of getting the control of the data. Themain aspect which is focused is to gain competitive advantage relating to the data of the user. Some of the people donot mind having their personal data in the concept of the social media due to the factor that they are well aware thattheir data would be very much secured and in a way it would not go into the hand of other person. Some of the otherprivacy aspects which are seen that the authentication which is included into the aspect of the communication. Inmost of the cases it may be seen that the level of interaction which is included may disturbed the personal life of thepeople. This can be one of the factors which can be stated for most of the user not involving into the aspect of the
