This act is applicable on those with age 16 and more. The people who are covered under this act are those suffering from dementia, learning disability, brain injury, mental illness, stroke etc. the difficulties in making decision may be related with day to day thing such as what to wear, what to buy etc. This act is applicable to all those who fall under this category of industry including Winterbourne. Rather, all professionals- doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapist health care assistant and support stage owes a duty of care to those lacking mental capacity while providing them the integrated care.
