This article discusses the nature and purpose of reflective practice in community engagement. It explores how reflective practice facilitates personal growth, development of thinking and analytical abilities, self-assessment, and the identification and solution of problems. The article also introduces Gibbs Reflective Cycle as a model for reflective thinking and provides a reflection on personal experience with an organization using this model. Additionally, it examines the relationship between relevant theory, such as Gibbs Reflective Theory, and the gained experience.
