INTRODUCTIONEmployability Skills is defines as transferable skills that an every individual need to makehim/her employable. These includes communication, team work, learning ability, problem solving,self management etc. Travelodge hotel is the private limited company which comes underhospitality sector, whose number of employees are more than 6000 and the company is facing highturnover. The report includes different strategies such as organising development programs etc.which help to reduce turnover. Marketing manager have planned different roles for him which helpshim to reach at desired objectives such as personal, direct/indirect etc. The report includes differentways of communication such as verbal, non-verbal etc. which marketing manager to communicateproblem faced by the Travelodge hotel.TASK 11.1 Roles and responsibilities of the individual when he/she is entering into any organisation anddifferent objectives.There are different responsibilities that an employee need to achieve while entering into theorganisation. Employee needs to perform various responsibilities so that a company can worksuccessfully. Among these some responsibilities are formal and easy to understand while others aredifficult and enact. After understanding different responsibilities, it helps employees to meet theirgoals in all the department. It makes business environment safe for employee so that they producequality goods for the company. Different responsibilities are as follows:Personal responsibilities: As a marketing manager of Travelodge, I need to fulfil self-responsibilities which means that I have to take my own obligation of my action for both inside andoutside the normal job duties. Self-responsibilities are related to responsibility that states that whatso ever the mistakes made by me I have been blamed for that mistake. If I have done some goodwork then I will be appreciated for my work. Accountability is also important for the organisationleadership in order to establish positive workplace culture. My responsibility is to communicate anddeal in the honest way with my colleagues and superior.Indirect responsibilities: It includes mutual responsibilities of the employees in the workplace.There is a list of it that include proper communication where I need to transfer information in theformal and hierarchical way and medium of transfer should also be proper and ethical. I should alsoinform to my superior for any unethical, suspicious behaviour, I need to work under the ethical code1

of conduct made by the company and that codes are mentioned in the employee handbook andtraining material in order to achieve consistency in the organisation.Direct responsibilities: These include different responsibilities that I need to fulfil at the workenvironment in the organisation. As, marketing manager I need to assist and guide sales force of theorganisation and delegate roles and responsibilities to them according to their skills and knowledge,I need to set proper target for distribution of goods and services which must be realistic andachievable.My objective as the marketing manager of the TravelodgeThere are different objectives which are set by Travelodge for the marketing manager, thatare as follows:Develop different programs, strategies and policies in order to promote TravelodgeCreate and implement tourism marketing plan for the company.Work closely with the restaurants, hotels/motels and country attraction so that they are ableto promote Travelodge.Manage different media information and create effective and affordable media to promotetravel and tourism of Travelodge.Proper research on the promotion strategies for current and future years that will able toincrease the market share of company.Develop domestic and international tourism. Different performance based objectives:Set and monitor performance management in the organisation.Making different appraisal system for every individual.Providing bonus to those employees who have worked more than set standard.Employees should be provided promotion if they have capable skills and knowledge whichhelps to improve the morale of the employees.2
