1 Five key benefits to an organization for developing and implementing workplace policies
and procedures
An organization can control different operational activities by developing and implementing
workplace policies and procedures such as followed below:
1. Workplace policies can aware the employees regarding their own roles with respect to
standards of performance and behavior (Von Schrader, Malzer & Bruyere, 2014)
2. Workplace policies also set specified guidelines for every employee to take correct
decisions in conflict situation
3. Workplace policies also help the employees to adopt clear and consistent response from
high authority
4. Workplace policies allow leaders to express faith regarding employee motivation
5. Workplace policies enable employment protection with legal acts and legislations
2 Importance of Acts for ensuring effective workplace relationships
Age Discrimination Act 2004: The parliament of Australia firstly introduced the Age
Discrimination Act 2004 that prohibits age related discriminations within the workplace
including education, employment, provision of services and goods and accommodation.
Disability Discrimination Act 1992: One more time, Australian parliament passed the
Disability Discrimination Act that prohibits discrimination against disabled people in education,
employment, accommodation, public premises, clubs and other contexts.
Fair Work Act 2009: Rudd Government of Australia had passed the Fair Work Act 2009 after
coming into power in 2007 for reforming the industrial relations in Australia. Howward
Government’s work choice legislation had been replaced with Fair Work Act 2009 that was
implemented on 1st July (Bray & Stewart, 2013).
Racial Discrimination Act 1975: Australian parliament has passed the Racial Discrimination
Act 1975 during the prime ministership of Gough Whitlam around territory and States legislation

to the extent of any inconsistency. This act prohibits racial discrimination in terms of colour,
national origin and race within the workplace.
Sex Discrimination Act 1984: This act was passed by Parliament of Australia that prohibits
discrimination in terms of relationship status, sex, sexual orientation, intersex status, gender
identity including education, employment and administration of commonwealth laws and
programs.
3 Key steps to identify and resolve workplace problems to promote effective workplace
relationships
In order to promote effective workplace relationship, the management needs to focus on
following steps for resolving workplace problems (Hardoy, Mitlin & Satterthwaite, 2013).

5 Code of Conduct for ensuring a harmonious workplace
Every organization should have a code of conduct because a code operates in internal guidelines
and external statement of commitments and corporate values. Everybody should follow the code
including the head of the organization. A code may help to encourage discussions of ethics and
can also serve as a valuable, central reference for the employees to locate relevant documents
related to the particular organization(Tourani,Adams &Serebrenik, 2017) Representing the
importance of the code of conduct, it can assist in ensuring a harmonious workplace through a
well-disciplined legal business structure.
6 Impact of networking for productive and effective workplace environment
Networking is very essential to communicate with each other within the workplace because it
helps to collect the information regarding any kind of subject which is necessary as per change
requirement. Bonding a relation, finding all type of information, receiving an instant response,
making a concrete decision after communicating, accordingly with the external contacts,
networking is very effective to improve the performance of an organization(Plouffe, 2018).
Cooperative people including managing director to the all departmental staff should
communicate through a systematic organizational network to maintain the confidentiality of the
organization.
7 Barriers and at strategies to ensure effective workplace communication
There are many examples of barriers to effective interpersonal communication. The emotional
and physical barriers to nonverbal communication are the most effective examples of
interpersonal communication (Beament & Mercer, 2016)
Two communication strategies like verbal communication that may help to understand what the
business partner is saying. the conversation between them may help to make a bonding regarding
that confidential topic. Choosing the exact date, time and place, mainly the appropriate schedule
