Business ethics are the stringent policies and protocols that the company follows and
circulates in all the departments of the company so that the employees also abide by the same
policies. This is mainly done to ensure good flow of communication amongst the employees and
the management as well as to carry out the services and the production in an efficient manner.
Business ethics was originated in 1960, when the priority was mainly based on servicing the
customers with purity and serving them with the best services (Lawton, and Páez, 2015).
Business ethics is a decent code, which is beyond anything wrong, and right. The ethics provides
a guideline to the companies and they tend to follow those policies this also helps the company
to avoid any illegal or unfair mode of transaction of money or business. The companies that
follows stringent protocols and principles attain success in very short span of time, as this is
helps the company to work in a systematic and efficient manner.

Ethical leadership is the type of leadership in which an individual tends to formulate the
guidelines and rules for the company and ensures that it is properly circulated amongst the
various sectors within the company. The ethical leader also supervises that the protocols are
being properly followed or not. An ethical leader is very crucial for the company, as he/she is the
one who make the policies that will be effective for the company and will lead it towards
success. An ethical leader has to consider various aspects while formulating laws, and he/she
needs to keep into consideration that the regulations are not too stringent for the employees

(Sharif, and Scandura, 2014). The main purpose of the ethical leader to compose these policies is
mainly to grow confidence and trust amongst the investors, also to attract more investors for the
company. Development of customer constancy and faith towards the company, the
micromanagement should also be less so that the employees can develop good working
environment. Increase faith amongst vendors and partners, ensuring good and productive
performance of the employees’ and boost their morale, practice legal tradition. This will also
help the company to build the employee base (Demirtas. and Akdogan, 2015).

An ethical leader should possess several traits firstly; the leader must always do justice to
its position, formulate policies for the company should be just, and fair. This is very essential so
that no employee can feel any biased behavior. The policies should be equal for all the
employees irrespective of the designation that they possess (Hassan, et al., 2013). The ethical
leader should also have kind nature and act in polite behavior with all his/her supervisors as well
as with their contemporaries. The ethical leader should always focus in upliftment of the
company and the team (Yidong, and Xinxin, 2013). They establish policies that will help the
company to achieve the aims and generate the maximum revenue from the market. The leader

must be very organized to perform all its duties in an efficient manner, the leader must be a risk
taker and not feel inferior if any issue arises. The leader has to possess these qualities in order to

There are certain benefits for ethical leadership, which helps the organization to grow on
a large scale. The ethical leader ensure that all the employees of the organization irrespective of
the designation they possess are abiding by the protocols and policies of the company or not. The
rules and principles that the ethical leader constructs for the company makes it very safe secured
for the employees and they find the ambience very healthy and suitable for executing put their
work. This also emphasizes on conscientious they are very efficient in decision making and at
the same time vigilant (Bedi, Alpaslan and Green, 2016). The leader with strong ethical identity
will be conscientious. This also helps in resolving the problem arising within the organization in
a quicker manner. The employees rely on the leader for the resolution of the problems and he/she
does it efficiently after analyzing the incident and provide just decisions to them.

Response to question five
There are four ethical leadership styles firstly; coaching this style helps the leader to
supervise the subordinates as well as the supervisors. In this type of leadership style, the leader
guides the employees in the correct manner, which will be productive for the company (Yukl, et
al., 2013). This also makes the employees upgrade their performance in an efficient manner.
Secondly, visionary style of leadership is the most applicable style of leadership for the
company. Whenever, the company need a new direction or plan to enter a new industry the
visionary style of leadership is the best type of leadership. The leader will provide clear plans
and visions about the new industry or direction along with the pros and cons for the company
(Engelbrecht, Heine and Mahembe, 2014). Thirdly, affiliate style of leadership is another style in
which it emphasizes on unity and teamwork and develops harmony within the organization. This
helps in growing healthy relations amongst the employees and this will elevate their motivation,
moral and communication amongst each other. Lastly, democratic style of leadership in which
the leader develops in triggering motivation and channelizing the efforts of the employees in the
most productive way for the company.

A charismatic leader is the one who know the proper procedures to make the employees
work with being very dominating to their subordinates. They help in implementing the vision of
the company efficiently. The companies fail to retain their employees and customer base for a
longer time because of the unorganized structure of policies and norms within the company.
Lack of proficient leader may also lead to harsh consequences for the company. A charismatic
leader helps in having a proper and detailed vision of the company. The charismatic leader will
understand the exact position of the company and its requirements and will implement the vision
of the company accordingly, which will help them in attaining the organizational goals (Markey
and Townsend, 2013)
