In hospitality industry, it is important for managers as well as leaders to have some hard
as well as soft skills for getting positive outcomes within stipulated period of time. In this regard,
hard & soft skills are mentioned as under:
Hard skills:
These skills can be developed by providing appropriate guidance and support and &
mainly related with technical knowledge. Some hard skills are mentioned as under:
Technical Skills: In present time, technical skills are important and necessary in order to
make use of different softwares and tools in business in an efficient manner(Bush, Bell and
Middlewood, 2019). In context of charlotte street hotel, managers need to have necessary
technical skills so that they can meet with the requirement of current time.
Microsoft office skills: It is a used for preparing reports, maintaining data and delivering
presentation to clients. It is important for managers & leaders of respective hotel to have good

Management skills: This skill refers to make appropriate plans, organizing different
activities within company and keeping proper control over outcomes with an aim to get proper
