1.1Introduction
The purpose of this assignment is to explore the concept of “Leadership and the New
Science”. The book used the concept of explaining the science and need behind the leadership
style and how it has evolved form days to days. This book contains the personal experience of
the writer which emerged the need of evaluating the importance of leadership in every
organization because it helps the organization to perfectly manage their operations and sustain
the position in market. Leadership has a relation with the subject of biology and chemistry which
helps people to understand the science behind it. The readers will get to know about the some
new concepts regarding the term and also understand the real world needs. The reader will also
get to know about the non-mechanistic approach and model of the modern administrator and
leadership styles which helps them to plant a proper organizational design along with developing
an organizational behavior. In this the writer have introduced the reader with two distinct topics.
The first one is the entropy which defines the fear factor of the organization which led the
organization to close down their operations and developing an excessive amount of energy which
will help them to fight their own death, the other one is the dissipative structure which explains
the characteristics of any living and open organization. New science in this book is referred to as
the quantum physics, biology and chaos theories which are evaluating since centuries and
improving the old model of science. However, older science refers to physics of Isaac Newton
and his engineering principles related to developing the industrial revolution and specific energy
sources.

The writer have introduced this book when it was felt that the organizations are not
functioning well and some questions are constantly bothering them regarding the functioning of
the organization. The questions are related to the less development of the organization, lifeless
functioning, difficult in tackling complex problems of organization and failing in getting
significant results. It was noted that organizations have started to feel less capable and became
more confused about their existence. The organization have even started to get losses and their
will to achieve goal was also diminishing. It was high time when the writer felt to write and
introduce the science behind leadership which may help the organizations to sustain their
operations and again achieve their goal like before. The first thought of introducing the large
perspective to the world came into mind of writer when he was doing his tour in mundane place
and he accidentally was standing above 37,000 feet long hill. It provided a message to show the
large perspective of the concept to the world. After going through a lot of new science books it
was clear that there is link between every subject in this world and one need to just open their
mind while grasping the knowledge and correlate concepts with each other.
It was believed that the leaders of the organization must try to seek with their older ways
of tackling the issues of organization because it had more science behind them rather than the
new ways. New ways are more fragile which may provide success or may not. However, the
writer also believes that the current situation for every organization is going difficult day by day
like merging, acquisition, downsizing and etc. which involves developed issues and for them
new age solutions should be adopted which may be unfamiliar with the new ideas and how to
apply them. Hence, it is important for the organization to let go the old methods of functioning
and leading their organization and start adopting new ways to maintain their operations. Each
and every problem needs customized solution so it is necessary to change the old perspective of
