Leadership characteristics can be termed as qualities that are needed by leaders to establish a
connection with their peers or followers. As per my previous results and identifications, my
leadership style can be said to more like participative which means, I can work more
comfortably while working in groups and understand objectives and roles of group
participants in collaborative tasks. My biggest strength is hard working attitude along with
sharing responsibility with others and maintain punctuality to meet deadlines for which my
leadership style can be defined as participative. However, weakness like getting hurt quickly
while getting disregards for my work results in mental stress arising within me that affects
my performance also. Participative leadership is also known as democratic leadership style
where the leaders invite followers or other participants to take part in decision making
process. Although this kind of leadership style remains uncommon in corporate world, many
professionals possess this kind of attitude for instance, social workers, facilitators and
arbitrators. There are few practical examples also where leaders like Bob Diamond, Bill
Gates and Donald Trump follow participative leadership style. According to Amanchukwu,
Stanley and Ololube (2015), participative leadership theory is an ideal leadership style that
allows inputs provided by others into account by encouraging contributions and participation
of group members and thus helps in improving commitment and collaboration that leads to
quality decisions and success in business.

Behavioural approach to leadership theory is based on the notion that great good leaders are
not born, but made. This leadership approach focuses on actions of leaders rather than
leader’s intellect or qualities and according to Khan & Nawaz (2016), people turns into great
